1970 Cadillac DeVille Convertible Last of the rear wheel drive Caddy convertibles. It shows very well and it drives great. It goes down the freeway at 80+ mph without any problem and without any wobble. San Mateo Red exterior with white leather interior as featured in the DeVille advertisement from that era shown below: Featured equipment includes the Dayton Wire Wheels, 472 cubic inch V8 Engine, Tilt Telescope Steering Wheel, Twilight Sentinel Headlights, AM/FM Radio, Power Disc Brakes, power seat etc. All power windows operate properly and the fitment with the top is great (not always the case with these cars). The power top goes up and down as it should and there is no wind leak when in the up position. The tires are in excellent shape. It has AC, but it does not cool. Also, the clock does not work. Owners manual included. While this car is not in concours condition, it is in excellent condition for its age. It is a great car to haul a large group around in (6 seat belts).

Cadillac LTS flagship to bow at NY Auto Show
Wed, 06 Aug 2014There is widespread agreement across the industry that Cadillac needs a proper, rear-drive flagship sedan that completes legitimately with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Audi A8 and BMW 7 Series.
Fortunately, the same view is held within the company, and just such a car - possibly dubbed LTS - is under development. According to a high-level source at Cadillac, the new four-door, which is said to incorporate design cues from the marque's celebrated Elmiraj coupe concept, will debut at the New York Auto Show next April.
If the car needs a cheerleader, surely incoming president Johan de Nysschen is just such a person. De Nysschen doesn't arrive at Cadillac until late in the month, but certainly he will want a proper flagship to do battle with his old foes at Mercedes-Benz and BMW and old friends at Audi and Infiniti.

Cadillac considering more electric cars, Elmiraj business case gaining popularity
Fri, 01 Nov 2013Cadillac's electrification isn't likely to stop at the $76,000 ELR coupe, according a report from TheDetroitBureau.com. Speaking to Cadillac's global sales boss, Bob Ferguson, a successful ELR will likely lead to a larger, even more upscale offering than the Volt-based two-door. "I could certainly see a larger vehicle, something even more luxurious," Ferguson said of a potential second, battery-powered Caddy.
That car would likely boast a more potent version of the Voltec powertrain that motivates the Volt and ELR. This next-generation system is still sometime off, though, and won't likely arrive until the second-generation Volt hits the market.
Besides hinting at future plug-in hybrids, Ferguson spoke to TDB about the improving business case for the Elmiraj Concept, shown at the Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey in August. "I'm very excited about the reception for the Elmiraj," Ferguson said. "I'd like to see it in showrooms as soon as possible," he added, before saying that a business case for the production version of the big coupe still needed to be presented to the brass. "It was made to be operationalized," Ferguson added, which is just what we want to hear when it comes to big, flashy concept cars.
