1 OWNER CALIFORNIA CLASSIC SINCE NEW. SELLING FOR SENIOR OWNER. 1972 BUICK SKYLARK CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE ORIGINAL OWNER IS SELLING THE CAR BECAUSE SHE IS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE IT ANYMORE AND SPOUSE DIED. THEY BOUGHT IT NEW IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FROM A BUICK DEALER AND LOVED IT FOR OVER 42 YEARS. CAR WAS ALWAYS KEPT IN A GARAGE AND SERVICED REGURARLY. IT HAS ONLY 72,085 MILES SINCE IT ROLLED OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR, IT HAS THE ORIGINAL ENGINE AND TRANSMISION IN GREAT WORKING CONDITION. THE CHROME IS SHINY, KEYS ORIGINAL AND GLASS IS CLEAR. THE CAR WAS KEPT ALL ORIGINAL WITH OUT MODIFCATIONS EXCEPT FOR CASSETE RADIO UPDATE IN THE 1980'S. IT HAS NO RUST OR RUST REPAIRS EVER. SKYLARK HAS THE 350 ENGINE WITH THE 4 BARREL CARBURATOR OPTION AND A AUTOMATIC TRANSMISION. ORIGINAL AIR CONDITIONED CAR BUT AC DOES NOT WORK BUT IT'S ALL INTACT. TIRES HAVE LOW MILES ON THEM WITH ORIGINAL RIMS AND HUBCAPS. ALL TRIM IS SHINY AND PRESENT. OVER ALL THE CONDITION- CAR IS WET IN PICS-PAINT IS GOOD, JUST NEEDS A WAXING TO SHINE. GREAT CLASSIC CAR BUT IT IS OVER 40 YEARS OLD SO IT DOES HAVE SOME WEAR DUE TO ITS AGE. THE CAR HAS BEEN PARKED FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW, SO IT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED IN/OUT. Buick version of Equinox/Terrain CUV spied testing... with autonomous gear?
Wed, 12 Jun 2013Let's get the most pressing bits of this story out of the way right off the bat: What we see here appears to be a new compact crossover from Buick. According to the spy photographer, this machine may be a little bit smaller on the outside than the current Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain 'utes, which makes sense since recent rumors suggest GM's small crossovers will migrate to a new platform that will mark a convergence between the automaker's Delta (Chevy Cruze, Buick Verano) and Theta (Equinox, Terrain) platforms. This Buick would likely use this new D2UX platform.
We've been expecting Buick to unleash a crossover to slot between the very small Encore and the very large Enclave, and various rumors have indicated that the model may be known as either the Anthem or Envision. It's worth mentioning that Buick had planned, back in 2009, to release a vehicle in the compact CUV market, but abandoned those plans after a particularly poor reception.
And now for something completely different... Take another look at the spy shots above, and pay special attention to the cylindrical device mounted to the vehicle's roof. We can't say for sure what it is, but our spy photographer opines that it looks quite a bit like the 360-degree Lidar camera equipment used by Google for its autonomous cars. Is General Motors working with Google on autonomous car technology? We don't know, but you can definitely consider us intrigued.

GM's bid to rationalize Europe will impact the products that will be offered domestically.
It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.
Buick dusting off Grand National, GNX and T-Type nameplates
Mon, 26 Nov 2012Inside Line reports Buick is planning to bring back some of the more storied names from the company's past, including the Grand National, GNX and the T-Type. Those cars rose to prominence in the 1970s and '80s to become performance legends of their day.
The new models will reportedly make use of the rear-wheel drive platform that currently underpins the Cadillac ATS and all would arrive as sedans - according to an unnamed source familiar with the initiative. Odds are the T-Type and the Grand National would share a driveline, with honest money being on a new twin-turbocharged 3.6-liter V6 as the engine of choice. Word has it the mill will be good for anywhere from 350 to 400 horsepower.
That leaves only the GNX. Inside Line seems to think that machine could get down the road with some help from the all-new GM LT1 small-block V8. The engineers behind the ATS platform have already told us the engine bay is large enough for to accommodate the big eight pot, and since GM is most certainly working on an ATS-V, a slightly less powerful, less luxurious Buick iteration makes some kind of sense. We can't wait to see these things in the light of day.
