1969 Buick Skylark Convertible Project - Numbers Matching With Air Conditioning! on 2040-cars
Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania, United States
1969 Buick Skylark convertible for sale. The correct Buick 350 2bbl. engine, TH 350
auto trans, and 10 bolt rear
are numbers matching. This drop top has power steering , working
air conditioning, and power top. The car runs and drives, brakes are good, has a bad muffler. The
convertible top is decent with no rips.
The floors, frame, trunk,
inner
wheel houses, and quarter extensions are very nice for a
convertible! There is one small spot on the drivers floor that
needs work( see picture). I can put the car on my lift for inspection. As you
can see, the car does need some body work. The bottoms of the
fenders and quarters do need work. I have extra doors that are in good condition and a repair
panel for the driver quarter. All the parts are here for this car,
bumpers, trim, lights, etc. Boxes of parts and spare parts like
another hood, trunk lid etc.(look at pictures of all the parts included)! The black interior is good. Front, rear seats and
dash are all nice. Will need
carpet. Great project for a body man. This is a cheap drop top.
Please call if you need more info or would like to check it out. Thanks

Buick mulling more powerful Encore; diesel too
Mon, 21 Oct 2013Looking to set itself apart in the mid-luxury segment, Buick is looking to introduce a diesel engine somewhere in its US lineup. And according to Edmunds, the two best chances of a diesel Buick rest with the Encore and Verano.
In both our First Drive and Review of the 2013 Encore, our chief complaint about the compact crossover was the the lack of power from the 138-horsepower turbo engine. Edmunds says that the recently introduced 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine (with both gas and diesel variants) from the Encore's overseas cousin, the Opel Mokka, could make its way into the Encore delivering the much-needed boost in power.
Then there's the Verano. As a close relative to the Chevy Cruze, which just added a diesel engine for 2014, the article speculates that a Verano Diesel might actually be the more "probably candidate" if and when Buick decides to add a diesel model to its portfolio. Either way, offering such an engine in one of its products could be a great way for Buick to differentiate itself from Cadillac and possibly even attract buyers from Volkswagen, Audi and Mercedes-Benz looking for a luxurious, fuel-efficient vehicle.
Buick might be getting a logo makeover
Fri, 23 Nov 2012General Motors has finished off an extensive model overhaul for its Buick division, but along with its updated cars, the brand might also be getting a new logo. According to the Detroit Free Press, GM North America President Mark Reuss indicated that the Buick tri-shield logo could be getting a makeover, but offered no further information.
It is unlikely Buick will completely redesign or replace its current logo, but the article seems to indicate that it might return to color; although all chrome now, the logo used to feature red, white and blue shields. Head on over to the Detroit Free Press article to look at some past Buick logos including one from 1904.
Cadillac, Buick and Chevy decisions impacted by worries abroad
Fri, 05 Jul 2013European Concerns Drive GM, But Beware Of The French Connection
GM's bid to rationalize Europe will impact the products that will be offered domestically.
It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.
