2000 Bmw Z3 Coupe Coupe 2-door 2.8l on 2040-cars
Lake Oswego, Oregon, United States
Very clean, well cared for 2000 BMW Z3 Coupe. Clean title, drives great. I bought the car a year ago and am just looking to get a bigger vehicle. These coupes are fun and rare as most Z3's are roadsters.
Car has the Harmon Kardon premium sound system and the business CD option. Heated leather seats in very good shape, premium alloy wheels and has a sunroof. The miles are good for the year of the car and I had new motor mounts and differential mounts installed within the last six months. When I bought the car I also had a paint protectant sealant installed to preserve the paint and protect it from the weather. The car is stock and not been modified. I have used it as a nice unique car to commute to and from work. I am the third owner and it has been in Oregon and Washington its entire life. It is evident that the previous two owners cared greatly for the car as well and I have treated it the same. No matter what you choose to use the car for it is solid and will serve the next owner well. Please feel free to ask any questions, I also have the CARFAX report on hand to show the clean record. Thanks. |

2014 BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo [w/video]
Thu, 21 Mar 2013BMW Gets Much Closer To The GT Look And Feel It Seeks
The 2014 BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is being launched to a pretty cynical automotive press brigade. You know it. We know it. Heck, even BMW knows it. We've just returned from driving it on the rather unforgiving and sometimes nasty roads of Sicily, and even before we got behind the wheel, many of our media colleagues were busying themselves doubting the 3 GT's very raison d'être. So, despite the always excellent Sicilian hospitality, the day's atmosphere was kind of fragile.
While the press in attendance seemed determined to nail every product expert to the wall for having been even tangentially associated with the larger 5 Series Gran Turismo, it seemed that BMW decided ahead of time to not introduce such a sensitive discussion topic. That strategy would do little to smooth things over as everyone started digging for dirt on BMW's so far clumsy Gran Turismo franchise.
Auto execs surveyed say VW, BMW most likely to grow
Thu, 17 Jan 2013A new survey of top global automotive executives indicates both Volkswagen and BMW are the most likely to grow their market share over the next five years.
Tax advisory firm KPMG LLP has released its 14th annual Global Automotive Executive Survey, which includes responses from over 200 executives. A total of 81 percent of respondents said they expect to see Volkswagen make gains, compared to 70 percent last year. BMW, meanwhile, saw 70 percent of those surveyed say they believe the company will increase its market share. That's a jump of 7 percentage points over last year. This is the first time in the history of the survey that BMW has claimed the second-place spot.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has seen its perceived market share potential slacken for the third year in a row. Around 61 percent of those surveyed predicted gains for Hyundai, down from 63 in 2012. Toyota also has a surprising year, but for just the opposite reason. While the manufacturer had slipped in ranking since 2011, it enjoyed the largest increase of any company in the 2013 survey, jumping to 68 percent from 44 percent last year.
A look back on BMW, South Carolina and Southern manufacturing
Sat, 29 Dec 2012It has been 20 years since BMW broke ground on its Spartanburg, SC manufacturing facility, and while the automaker doesn't have any plans to mark the moment, economists and industry analysts have taken a closer look at the facility's impact on South Carolina, the South and global manufacturing. As of November, the Spartanburg plant's 7,000 employees cranked out 25,000 vehicles per month, and BMW has poured some $6 billion into the state since the plant opened in 1993. While that figure nearly matches the state's proposed budget for next year, some say there have been drawbacks.
To begin with, South Carolina provided BMW with hundreds of millions of dollars worth of public money and tax breaks with little public oversight, setting a precedent that would repeat itself with other corporations. The Detroit News reports that a Pew Center evaluation found 26 states didn't have a sufficient system for evaluating tax incentive performance. But BMW opened the door for a Southern manufacturing renaissance, with automakers from Mercedes-Benz to Hyundai and Volkswagen opening plants in the Deep South.
While states have raced to offer ever sweeter tax and cash incentives for big manufacturers, officials say BMW is proof the system can pay dividends. You can read the full piece here.
