Well maintained-amazing condition! I bought this car in 2008 with 22K miles and have taken excellent care of it. I'm only selling because we have a new baby, and I need a more practical vehicle. Interior is in great condition with the exception of a small area of wear on the driver's seat (pictured). The exterior has minor chips here and there consistent with age. Additionally there are some minor blemishes on the front bumper (pictured). I replaced the original glove box latch, which was broken. I don't have a key to the new one, but I have the original if you would like to switch the lock cylinder. It comes with a rear spoiler, wind screen, clear bumper and sidemarker lights, and a 6-disc CD player in the trunk. All the engine drive belts and pulleys were replaced this year, plus it has new tires and rear brakes. The battery was replaced 6/24/2013. I also have the original, wood trim pop-up cassette holder that was in the center console. |

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer corners surprisingly flat on 'Ring
Mon, 07 Jul 2014With seven seats and front-wheel drive, you might not expect the upcoming long-wheelbase version of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer to live up to the Ultimate Driving Machine reputation that BMW has fostered over the years. But the latest spy clip from the Nürburgring suggests otherwise.
The Bavarian automaker has apparently been testing its new people mover on the Nordschleife, getting it ready to join the growing 2 Series family. And though it's wearing heavy camouflage, we can clearly see from the video below that it's cornering impressively flat - which bodes well for those who'll need to transport their expanding family but aren't prepared to give up on handling.
BMW rethinks all-wheel-drive M cars
Fri, 04 Oct 2013BMW M hasn't been able to decide whether it wants to jump on the all-wheel-drive bandwagon or not (with the exceptions of the X5 M and the X6 M, which are based on AWD architecture). That might be changing though, since M's president Friedrich Nitschke recently realized that 70 to 80 percent of Mercedes-Benz E63 AMGs are ordered with all-wheel drive. Earlier this year, Nitschke said that there were no new AWD M models planned, so this comes as somewhat of a surprise.
"On our cars we are thinking of all-wheel drive, but it won't come before we get the successor of the M5 and M6," Nitschke said in a Motoring report. "That's the timing and it's not practical to react in the current life cycles."

$1.8 million is spent each year to maintain GM's fleet of 600 production and concept cars.
When at least two of the Detroit Three were on the verge of death a few years back, one of the tough questions that was asked of Ford, General Motors and Chrysler execs - outside of why execs were still taking private planes to meetings - was why each company maintained huge archives of old production and concept vehicles. GM, for example, had an 1,100-vehicle collection when talk of a federal bailout began.
