Its time to sell my favorite car of all time for now because Im buying a house. When I say favorite I mean it. I have babied this car since I've had it. I am the second owner. I purchased the car from an old rich lady in California with only 22,000 miles two years ago. The car currently has only 52,000 miles with a CLEAN TITLE and a clean carfax. All scheduled maintenance has been performed at only BMW dealerships, mainly Kuni. I do have maintenance records available. The car is fully loaded including harman kardon sound system, ice cold A/C, power everything, and also tinted windows. I have mainly been using the car to get to and from work so the miles are highway miles. Never been raced or driven like most M3s. My car runs like a champ, extremely fast and comfortable. The interior is immaculate as I take extra care of it by treating the leather and of course never let anyone smoke in it. I have many more pictures and can send it to you if requested. 2015 BMW M3 squares off against Alpina D3 in gas vs. diesel throwdown
Sat, 26 Jul 2014There was a time when diesel meant one of two things: This vehicle's owner either wants to save some money at the pump or needs to haul massive loads. It definitely did not mean that the owner of said machine wanted to drive fast, but that perception has slowly but surely been changing over the last several years, with automakers from Volkswagen and Ford to Audi and BMW offering spiced-up versions of their high-compression, turbocharged diesels.
It's that last automaker we mentioned that's the subject of the video you'll see down below. One bright-blue BMW M3 was procured by the Brits at Autocar, and it was lined up against a deep-black Alpina D3 (which we sadly can't buy in the US) in a spate of tests, including acceleration, stopping, sound and lap times on a closed circuit. The results, which we won't spoil for you, were enlightening, and were followed up by personal impressions from the man behind the wheel.

A closer look at the 2015 BMW M3 and M4
Fri, 17 Jan 2014It's fair to say we're going to miss the E92 BMW M3. Its high-revving V8, flame-styled looks and excellent driving character made it quite simply one of the best cars of the 2000s. Its replacements, the new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe have a lot to live up to.
We still have a few months to wait until we can drive the new cars, but that doesn't mean we can't get excited in the meantime, learning everything we can. 2014 BMW X5 recalled over faulty child-safety locks
Tue, 27 May 2014BMW is set to recall some 6,400 of its new-for-2014 X5 SUVs built between December 12, 2013 and March 10, 2014 due to concerns that the child safety locks, if set, might deactivate without warning. The problem affects only those vehicles with the automatic soft-closing option.
According to the bulletin issued by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the lock mechanism on the rear doors "may not have been manufactured to correct tolerances," meaning the safety locks could disengage with a simple pull of the door handle. Basically, with a pair of tugs, the rear doors could be opened from the inside, regardless of child safety locks.
BMW is in the process of notifying owners of affected vehicles. Any necessary repairs will be conducted free of charge. Take a look below for the official press release from NHTSA.
