I am thrilled to present this Turbo Charged HPF (horse power freaks) BMW M3 to the market and especially to all the tuner/enthusiast out there. Fully loaded, heated seats, sunroof, Navigation, the works. This M3 can be considered an HPF/Rhom Innovations hybrid build. All parts installed on vehicle are Genuine HPF upgraded parts that make up the stage 2.75 kit, the only item missing to make this M3 officially stage 3 is exhuast. I do have an extra Dinan upgrade exhaust system for this car which i may install before resale or at the request of buyer to make it stage 3 official. The special quality about this turbo M3 is that its being built and assembled by Rhom Innovations in Portland Oregon right now, Rhom Innovations can be regarded as a premier BMW M3 specialist and they are located right around the corner from the HPF location in Portland Oregon. The build will be complete sometime this month of January. A fresh build means zero miles on block, cylinder head, clutch kit and more. There are many question marks that come along with a highly modified car that has miles and use on it, how did the previous owner drive it? track it? race it? how many miles are really on the build, lots of questions generally. Thats what makes this car different than any other, everything is new or like new, so you are able to have the confidence cutting through all the question marks with complete Clarity.  the best part is that this car cost over $75k for the original stage 2 build so here's your chance to own it fresh at a fraction at an upgraded stage 2.75 platform, as the cherry on top. Stage 2.75 on the HPF website is $31,900 not including the upgraded suspension, wheels, Brembo Big Brake Race Kit, or the custom HPF rear weld reinforcement sway bar kit for the extra power. There will also be a limited warranty on the build, i will add specifics on this when all info is collected from Rhom Innovations.  You may be wondering why im selling the car. I have a reserved a new Porsche 911 turbo and am going back to an all wheel drive system. This M3 is now located in Portland Oregon (West Coast), once car is complete, i will have the car shipped back to TN sometime mid February.  Anyone is free to visit Rhom Innovations to see the vehicle in person or for basic question. Rhom Innovations, Owner Chris Rhom: 12729 NE Whitaker Way, Portland, OR 97230 (503) 895-8481   Body has 120k miles, engine fully rebuilt top to bottom, new rods, new pistons, sleeved, the works. New clutch, recently installed Brembo Brakes, KW Coilover Suspension, etc. Please research what the stage 3 HPF kit offers, its quite thorough: turbo upgrade, intercooler, custom engine work (this block was just assembled, blue printed and built by VAC in PA), race rods, and more. i will continue to add details and info to the listing over the next few days, but i have attached some video links on HPF cars in general. enjoy i have the build sheets available and they can be emailed to you upon request. Turbo M3's are exhilarating to say the least and are honestly disturbingly fast, this M3 will be detuned to about 700 hp to the crank, it can be tuned up to 1000 hp if desired. 615.390.4334

Toyota launches BMW-powered Verso in Europe

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

BMW makes some sweet-revving engines, but its own vehicles aren't the only ones running BMW engines. So do the latest from Rolls-Royce and Mini, of course, as well as a handful of Peugeots and Citroëns thanks to its joint engine program with PSA. Wiesmann uses BMW engines, as did the famous McLaren F1. And now we can add one more to the list.
That would be the Toyota Verso, a Corolla-based minivan which Toyota builds in Turkey and sells in Europe and a few other markets overseas. The Verso is also now officially the first beneficiary of the partnership between Toyota and BMW as the Japanese automaker has released the MPV with BMW's 1.6-liter turbodiesel four.
The 111-horsepower engine is coupled to a Toyota transmission and joins the Verso range as the fourth (and least powerful) engine in the lineup, alongside the 122hp 2.0 diesel and the gasoline options with 1.6 liters and 160 hp and 1.8 for 180. Future collaborations between the two automakers will include fuel-cell development, a new joint sportscar platform, lightweight bodywork research and a new generation of lithium-air batteries. See the press release below for further details.

BMW 8 Series revival not coming anytime soon

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

If you thought the BMW Gran Lusso Coupe concept that was shown at Villa d'Este a few months back was a preview of a new BMW 8 Series, prepare to be disappointed. According to a report from the UK's Autocar, BMW officials have "rejected suggestions" that a production model based on the concept was coming. To be fair, though, would you expect them to just acknowledge it?
The Brits seem to be thinking the same, as the story went on to quote BMW research and development chief, Herbert Diess, who claimed, "We're looking into the possibility of production, but a decision is still a way off." Diess also points out that it's far too early for anything to be confirmed, seeing as how the concept only debuted about 10 weeks ago.
The well-received Gran Lusso was penned by Pininfarina and motivated by a brawny, twelve-cylinder engine. If it were to enter production, it'd likely sit at the top of BMW's gas-powered offerings, and would compete against the Mercedes-Benz CL AMG and Bentley Continental GT.

BMW 2 Series to wear 230i, M240i nameplates

Wed, 19 Nov 2014

BMW might not be done tweaking its naming scheme quite yet. Of course, at this point, the jumble of numbers on the back of the Bavarian models has no connection to what's under the hood. So there's not much reason to stop changing the monikers now.
As Autoblog reported a few months ago, BMW is slotting upgraded, turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines called the B48 and B58, respectively, into the 3 and 4 Series. If this happens, the 328i/428i would become the 330i/430i, and the 335i/435i would turn into the 340i/440i.
Obviously, this change hasn't happened yet, but the same member of 2Addicts, a portion of the larger Bimmerpost community has now claimed that the 228i and M235i would get the same treatment. They would become the 230i and M240i, respectively, with the new engines.
