1998 BMW M3 4 Door Sedan Automatic   Vin # WBSCD0320WEE13767 - This car needs nothing, Excellent condition Driven Daily!

This is a hard to find car and even harder to find in this condition.  Only 135,000 (and I say that because those of you that know in the BMW Enthusiast community know these motors if maintained properly easily go 300,000 miles plus with no issues) I am an avid BMW Enthusiast as well as a Classic Car Nut and so this car has been extremely well maintained and cared for in every aspect.  It is a Daily Driver and needs absolutely nothing everything works flawlessly and all maintenance and necessary upkeep for the mileage has been taken care of along the way to keep this car in tip top running condition. Tires have only 10k miles on them (rated for 60k miles) and Wheels were professionally refinished.

**I even have the Original Window Sticker! **

The Exterior Paint is in great shape and the interior is indeed nearly flawless just like it appears in the pictures and the Wheels were refinished last year and have been kept up.

This Car is Original 100% right down to the wheels and the Business CD Player!  Not a single Modification on the body or engine has been made it’s truly an original.

It is a very nice and yes hard to find Interior color Natural Nappa  (gives it a nice warmth and richness and great pizazz instead of the dull black interior that comes in most of them)

Don’t Let the Automatic fool you this is a very quick car after all it is an M3.  That is exactly why it’s being sold, my wife won’t let me hand it down to my daughter who is just about to get her driver’s license.

BMW i8 will be first production car to use Gorilla Glass

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

What do smartphones and the BMW i8 have in common? Glass. Scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass, that is. The i8 will be the first production car to use the chemically hardened material, which is more durable, lighter and provides more sound deadening than conventional laminated automotive glass. We thought it would be a natural replacement for windshields, but, according to Autoweek, BMW said it will be used for the rear window for sound deadening purposes. The Gorilla Glass will still be laminated, with two 0.7mm thick layers of it sandwiching an acoustic sheet, reports Autoevolution.
BMW reportedly claims the i8 will weigh less than 3,285 pounds, and to offset the heavy hybrid powertrain to reach that goal the automaker has implemented lightweight materials normally not found in mass-production automobiles. With a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) monocoque used for both the (relatively) pedestrian i3 and the upscale i8, it's not surprising BMW was also the first to jump onto Gorilla Glass, especially given the timing of a report that a high-end automaker would introduce it within the year.
Be sure to check out our First Drive review of the i8 to see if BMW's newest sports car is living up to the hype.

Toyota passes BMW as most valuable car brand

Tue, 21 May 2013

An annual market study of the strongest brands across various industries has seen Toyota leapfrog BMW as the world's most valuable automotive brand. Toyota's 2013 brand value rose to $24.5 billion, up 12 percent versus 2012 numbers according to market research company Millward Brown's BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list. BMW's value fell slightly; down by 2 percent to a total of $24 billion.
Mercedes-Benz finished in third place in the automotive category, up 11 percent from 2012 for a valuation of $18 billion. Honda ($12.4 billion, down 2 percent) and Nissan ($10.2 billion, up 3 percent) rounded out the top five for the category. Volkswagen was the only other auto brand that finished in the top 100 overall, in 100th place. Audi made the greatest percentage gain over 2012, up 18 percent to $5.5 billion, but finished outside of the top 100.
Technology companies dominated the overall list, with Apple, Google and IBM ranking one through three. Couture brand Prada was 2013's biggest gainer, rising by 63 percent over 2012.

Is the BMW i8 actually already sold out?

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

The other day we brought you a report from Reuters, which quoted BMW's global sales chief Ian Robertson as saying that the Bavarian automaker had already sold out the entire year's production run of its new i8. Impressive, sure, but perhaps not all that unusual for a groundbreaking new sportscar from a major automaker, of which only limited quantities are typically built. But is the i8 really sold out?
Our compatriots at Car and Driver chased down the story and report that Robertson's claims aren't exactly accurate. According to C/D, the numbers are based on sales projections, not actual orders taken. So while BMW may build upwards of 1,900 i8 coupes next year and over 5,000 in 2015, and while they're all expected to sell, that doesn't mean that it's too late to get your order in. That is, assuming you have the $135k on hand and don't mind getting just three cylinders back in return.
