Brandywine, Maryland, United States
2001 Audi S4 (B5 model) with approximately 126xxx miles on it (yes it is bi-turbo sorry I forgot to snap a pic of under the hood but I assure you everything is in its place). The Good: FAST and runs Great. It is an automatic but does have a manual shifting mode with steering wheel shifters Upgraded inner-coolers It is Black on Black. The interior is in great shape aside from one small tare in the driver seat. The timing belt was replaced right around 100xxx miles The alternator was replaced at about 115xxx miles. The tires have roughly 1000 miles on them but look great! The Bad: I would replace the torque converter but it does still drive well I have a code saying it need a sensor for it. It also has a leak in the windshield wiper fluid reservoir. the Front bumper has two nicks in it. CHECK insurance rates can be costly if its for your kids first car. 2015 Audi S8
Mon, 11 Aug 2014You've gotta hand it to the Audi A8. Last year, Mercedes-Benz launched the truly stunning S-Class, putting the rest of the high-dollar luxury flagship class on notice. With the brand-new S-Class turning heads and garnering all sorts of praise from the automotive press, classmates like the BMW 7 Series, Jaguar XJ and Audi A8 started to look, well, old. But Audi didn't see fit to just let its big sedan carry on and let the Mercedes take the cake.
So when Audi refreshed its A8 line for the 2015 model year with only minor updates, I kind of shrugged it off as just a quick way to keep the big sedan fresh until an all-new, hopefully S-Class-trumping version arrives. But then I drove the S8 pictured above, and I'm no longer so sure the Merc's shadow is as big and imposing as it once was.
Spoiler alert: the Audi S8 is simply fantastic.
2016 Audi TTS Roadster opens up for all to see
Thu, 02 Oct 2014The five-door Sportback concept may be garnering the lion's share of attention as far as the TT goes, but that's just for show. The more tangible news from Audi's stylish sports car range at the
this year is the Roadster.
Like its predecessors, the new Audi TT Roadster ditches the coupe's fixed roof and rear seats in favor of an open two-seat cockpit with a traditional folding fabric enclosure that's quieter and lighter than the previous TT's mechanism.
First impressions of Audi's next TT interior and Virtual Cockpit [w/video]
Wed, 08 Jan 2014Not content to pummel CES show goers with laser lights and self-piloting vehicles, Audi has also pulled the wraps (well, some of the wraps) off the interior of its upcoming next-gen TT. While the car itself wasn't on hand for us to check out, Audi did mock up the cockpit, complete with its all-new Virtual Cockpit central display and the latest iteration of the company's Multi Media Interface (MMI).
Virtual Display is Audi's new brand name for a completely digital reinterpretation of the instrument binnacle, by way of a 12.3-inch TFT screen. Audi tells us that there are two operable modes for Virtual Display: in the standard mode, an average-sized tachometer and speedometer flank a smaller infotainment portion in the center. Infotainment mode, meanwhile, shrinks the gauges to discreet circles and allows the navigation map, audio controls, or whichever system is being operated by the driver, to fill the remaining screen real estate.
This design, says Audi, allowed engineers to slim down the size of the center console as a whole, without reducing function for the driver. We can say that it looks very impressive as a demonstrator, but we will need some time with it in a moving vehicle before we're convinced it isn't slightly more distracting that a traditional setup.
