For SALE is my 2001 AUDI AllRoad 2.7l Twin Turbo. Time for a new toy and this incredibly well maintained, concourse condition vehicle must go!

The color is called Highland Green Metallic and the paint is VERY close to perfect. Just three small scratches that are very fine and not really noticeable in most lighting conditions. Not a speck/spot of rust anywhere nd this car has been waxed/compounded with Maguire products since day 1. Always hand washed, never through the car wash ( yes, even in winter! ). Overall rating: 9.5 out of 10

The interior is a 9.8 out of a possible 10. One small crack on the wood veneer running through the glove box. Again, hardly noticeable.

New halogen/adjustable headlights in the summer of 2013 as well as a new windshield, NOT due to any accidents, but because I like to see out of my windshield and NOT have a million tiny pit marks that haze over the viewing of any vehicle that has 100,000+ miles. $346.42 headlights and $169.00 windshield and $200 labor charge for headlight replacement.

Mechanically in top shape as well; here are some of the recent work done and ALL DOCUMENTED via receipts from my mechanic. Works is most recent and older

Toyota, Lexus dominate KBB's Best Resale Value Awards

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Toyota and Lexus stormed the 2014 Kelley Blue Book Best Resale Value Awards, winning a combined 18 categories including best brand and best luxury brand. This marks the third year in a row that both automakers have won the Brand and Luxury Brand resale value awards. In all, Toyota won 11 categories and Lexus won seven.
Honda made a good showing, as well, winning two segments (Accord Plug-In Hybrid and Civic Si) and putting one car on the top-10 Best Resale Value list (CR-V). Chevrolet did even better, winning two segments (with the V6 Camaro and the Corvette) and placing three cars on the top-10-overall list (again, the Camaro and Corvette, plus the Silverado 1500).
The other winners came from Jeep, Dodge, Infiniti, Subaru and Audi. To give you a clearer picture of the Toyota and Lexus domination, their 18 mentions represents more than half of the 34 awards (including the top-10-overall list).

Audi RS Q3 gets snarlier, hits 62 mph in 4.8 seconds [w/video]

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Well, that was quick. A mere 20 months after its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, Audi has issued a fairly significant update to its RS Q3 crossover. A light exterior refresh - the most noticeable change is that the grille surround and headlights are now joined - belies more significant changes under the compact crossover's hood.
Power from the 2.5-liter, turbocharged five-cylinder has been boosted nicely from 310 horsepower to 340, while torque has jumped from 309 pound-feet to 332 lb-ft. The result of this extra thrust is that the tiny CUV can now scamper to 62 miles per hour in a seriously quick 4.8 seconds, rather than the original RS Q3's 5.5-second sprint. A new fifth-generation multi-plate clutch is fitted to the seven-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission, which Audi claims will now deliver even quicker shifts.
Lighter brake rotors with ridiculous eight-piston calipers in the front provide what we imagine is a lot of stopping power, while Audi continues to offer an optional adaptive damper system. 19-inch wheels are standard while 20s are optional.

Audi 4.2-liter V8 to live again in next-gen R8

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

Fellow auto enthusiasts, it looks like the car gods have smiled upon us. Word is that Audi's stupendous 4.2-liter V8 will once again be available in the next-generation R8. Rumors pegged the trusty 4.2 as a dead engine revving, thanks to Audi's newer 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 found in models like the S6 and S7.
We expected the 4.0-liter to be the go-to engine in the next R8, but according to Car and Driver, there have been some issues cooling the force-induced mill in the mid-engine R8. The issues are so severe, in fact, that the 4.2 is going to be retained in the car's second generation.
It's more than just practical matters like cooling that are keeping the R8 from going turbocharged. C/D reports that even with the current state of forced induction, a turbocharged R8's throttle response and its resultant exhaust note would suffer too much to be feasible.
