2001 Audi Allroad! Silver! Twin Turbo! All Wheel Drive. Air Ride! More!!!!!!!!!! on 2040-cars
Niles, Michigan, United States
HI,
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Please read this listing in detail and re-read it. I don't want my time wasted, and I don't want to waste your time. ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS! I initially bought this as a 3rd vehicle with a KY salvage title. I cannot find anything as to why it was "salvaged". The only repairs I had to make on it was the right front airbag and front right CV shaft. Other than that, I cannot find any reason as to why I bought it with the title it had. I now have had it inspected as per requirement in the state of Michigan to have the title transferred to "salvaged-rebuilt" That's the best I can get the title to be. The body had NO repairs done in any way, shape, or form. I cannot find any signs of moisture inside the vehicle anywhere that would indicate a flood or water damage. The car is not NEW. IT IS USED> Please understand that my description is as accurate as I can honestly make it. Now, The car needs work. It seems that it makes a clunking sound upon deceleration. I "think" its a intermediate drive shaft bearing. I was allowed to drive it on the road roughly 15 miles one way to the police station and drop it off for the inspection. It was the first time I was able to put it through the ringer. I will say that its a monster on the road. It is fast. It shifted fine, Drove straight, and felt good. I also drove it home. The noise seems to be only when you let off the gas. The front right strut/airbag leaked bad when I bought it. I replaced it with a used one and it hold air just fine. Since then, if it sits for over 7 days, the rear starts to sag. When the car is used daily, you would never notice the rear leak as minor as it is. I would estimate that the rear end would drop 1.5 inches over the course of a week of non use. Every time the car is started, the ride ecu activates and levels the car. It almost sits as high as my Avalanche on the highest setting. FYI. The front right CV shaft was destroyed when I bought It. It was replaced with a brand new unit. Other issues: Exhaust is noisy. Flex pipe is worn and needs replaced. There's 2 flex pipes. exhaust might need more repair to fix minor leaks. IT honestly sounds like it has a custom exhaust. I can pull codes up to show exhaust leak. Driver door storage bin (shown) wont stay closed. E-brake trim wont stay latched (shown) Dash display is bipolar. Sometimes the left side of the LED display is dim. (I was told it's common) Rear deck storage cover is broke. (shown with deck open) No affect on anything. Headlights. They are true HID. The lenses are dim and faded. The lights are still brighter than all other vehicles I own. They wont buff out. Trust me. Might need valve cover gaskets. When I purchased it, It would smoke a little from the exhaust manifold burning off a little oil. But since then, it seems to have gone away. Maybe due to it not being driven for a while. HERE ARE MY DEMANDS / WANTS! ---------------- IF YOU ARE TRULY INTERESTED, I WILL REPLY TO YOUR PM WITH MY ADDRESS. PLEASE COME LOOK AT IT AND DRIVE IT. IT ISN'T ALLOWED ON PUBLIC ROADS BECAUSE IT ISN'T PLATED. I LIVE ON A PRIVATE STREET WHERE YOU CAN DRIVE IT. I will also hook it up to OBD2 scanner on the spot to show you any internal codes it may have. I WOULD PREFER YOU TO COME LOOK AT IT AND TAKE YOU TIME DOING SO! IF YOU BUY IT AND SOMETHING HAPPENS, ITS NOT MY PROBLEM. I HAVE DISCLOSED EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT IT. NO BODY IS PERFECT. BUT I'M AS HONEST AS POSSIBLE 100% OF THE TIME. THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION. THE CAR IS NOT PLATED AND WILL NEVER COME WITH ANY TYPE OF PLATE OR REGISTRATION. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE SALE IN PERSON AND ARRANGE FOR TRANSPORT WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS FROM SALE COMPLETION. THIS CAR IS SOLD AS-IS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY OR SERVICE PLAN. PLEASE ASK ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS VIA PM OR IN PERSON. LOCATED IN ZIP CODE 49120. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND POSITIVE FEEDBACK WILL BE REQUIRED TO BE LEFT UPON COMPLETION OF THE SALE AND BEFORE THE CAR IS REMOVED FROM MY PROPERTY. DO YOUR HOMEWORK PEOPLE............. IM NOT A MASTER MECHANIC. COME LOOK AT IT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED. THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING. |

Audi S1 officially shows itself as 228-hp hot hatch [w/video]
Wed, 12 Feb 2014We got the first leaked pics of the new Audi S1 Sportback five-door hot hatch yesterday, and as expected, Audi has unloaded the full details today, including confirmation of its S1 three-door sibling ahead of its debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show. The two cars are essentially identical aside from their door counts, and together, they represent a new entry-level rung into Audi's S car range.
The subcompact S1 is propelled by Audi's ubiquitous 2.0 TFSI four-cylinder, tuned here to produce 228 horsepower and 279 pound-feet with a six-speed manual transmission and all-wheel drive. The potent combo accelerates the S1 to 62 miles per hour in 5.8 seconds (5.9 seconds for the Sportback) and on to a top speed of 155 mph. Fuel economy is rated at an average 33.6 miles per gallon (40.3 mpg UK) in the UK cycle. The S also gets a completely different four-link independent suspension to replace the less sophisticated torsion beam setup found in the standard A1.
Styling also gets a bump in aggressiveness that befit the S1's performance upgrades. In addition to a new body kit with a lower front air dam and 17-inch wheels, the S1 comes standard with Xenon headlights, LED taillights and two new available exterior colors - Vegas Yellow and Sepang Blue. The interior gets combination leather and cloth sport seats, piano black trim and a retractable 6.5-inch color infotainment display.
New Audi Quattro concept coming to Frankfurt?
Tue, 13 Aug 2013We first saw the Audi Quattro Concept at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, and since then we've been tugged this way and that by a series of rumors as to whether the car will be built or not, and whether such a car will live at the accessible or the exalted end of the cost spectrum. A report in Germany's Auto Zeitung from June restarted the fires of gossip with a report that a production version of the concept will appear at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and put it firmly in the exalted sphere.
Now, just a month from the show, Auto Bild has a similar report, sketching out an upmarket car but on a different platform. Back when we drove it, the Quattro concept was built on a spaceframe based on the RS5 platform and got its go from a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 380 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque (the show car got 408 hp from a turbocharged five-cylinder). The June report from Auto Zeitung said this new reveal would be powered by a modified version of the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 from the RS7 that would put out something like 650 hp. Auto Bild, on the other hand, reports that the engine will be tuned to something like 600 hp and the new concept will ride on an "enhanced" version of the A6 platform.
Both reports agree that the car we'll see will preview Audi's new design language with "tauter, more angular lines." Lightweight and exotic materials will be used in efforts to reach a supposed target weight of 1,200 kilograms (2,640 pounds), down from a target of 2,900 pounds in earlier report. Auto Bild says that Audi still hasn't decided whether to make a production version, but if they are correct about the direction of the concept, any retail offering based on it isn't going to be cheap.
Audi R18 suffers huge crash during Le Mans practice, driver conscious and alert
Wed, 11 Jun 2014Loic Duval, driver of the #1 Audi R18 E-tron Quattro, suffered a massive crash today during free practice for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Duval's car reportedly went off track backwards at high speed near the Porsche Curves and flew into the retaining fence. There is no video of the actual crash at the moment, but a video of the aftermath (viewable below) shows significant damage to the Audi and to the fence. The wall nearby the car appears unaffected.
Thankfully, it occurred quite close to a marshal's stand, and they were present almost immediately after the incident. Both the official press release from the 24 Hours of Le Mans and a tweet from Audi Sport (below) indicated that Duval was conscious after the crash, and he was taken by ambulance to the medical center and then to the hospital. The press release says: "His condition is encouraging." However, any injuries he might have sustained are unknown at this time. After the crash, the course was red flagged, and practice resumed about 50 minutes later.
Duval is alert. He will be transported from the Medical Center to the hospital for further examinations #R18 #LM24 @FIAWEC @24hoursoflemans
