1988 Acura Integra Ls Special Edition Hatchback 3-door 1.6l on 2040-cars

Year:1988 Mileage:51064
Location:

Ellicott City, Maryland, United States

Ellicott City, Maryland, United States

This is a 1988 Acura Integra LS Special Edition.  One of 1500 made from the research I've done.

My brother and I found this car with it's original owner in Texas.  It has been garaged kept the entire time, waxed once a year, driven periodically.  It's very light and a BLAST to drive.

An extremely well built and reliable car I get 30/33mpg city/hwy using plain 87 octane.  Car needs absolutely nothing.  I replaced all the brake pads last year they were about 60% gone at that time.  Tires have 70% life left I put on Faulkens they're very nice.  New battery in January the old one was 6 years old.  Low mileage and all original.  No rust anywhere in the body.  Super clean.  The body is ding free everywhere I can't find any dents anywhere, it's been adult driven and well cared for.  I've seen these cars log 250,000 and more with most of their components holding on the entire time.  I have the original floor mats in unused new condition even.  The original dealer frameplate.  A few extras will be included with the car given that it sells for a good price, otherwise I will part out the cool extras later and I will not list them here either.

Also worth mentioning this car has the original exhaust and tuning, many people get these cars and go nuts with engine mods etc, this car is bone stock.

Classic tags available in most states, and I have collector car insurance currently that costs me $100/year!!

Family plans prompt this sale we simply have too many cars around and my new work vehicle means I don't need a car at all anymore.  I'm an honest and reasonable seller and expect the same of a buyer.  Happy to answer your questions and hoping this finds a home with someone who loves Hondas like we do.

Car is for sale locally, cash in hand takes the title and the car, simple, and the auction will cancel.  The winning bidder will leave a non-refundable PayPal deposit of $500 with the balance to be paid in person with cash.  My state tag laws are strict so you can't drive away on my tags either it's too risky.  I'm open to delivery suggestions, would welcome fly and drive pick you up at BWI airport.  I wouldn't hesitate to say this car is ready to drive cross country and would even consider the trip myself given we had a paid in full deal finalized in advance.

Honda marks 20 million vehicles made in the USA

Thu, 20 Mar 2014

Japanese automakers manufacturing in the United States is nothing new. But it was in November of 1982 when the first Honda Accord rolled off the assembly line in Marysville, OH. It was the first Japanese vehicle assembled in the US, and in the nearly 32 years since, Honda has made 10 million Accords here for a total of 20 million cars manufactured in America - enough to span from New York to San Francisco twenty times. It's that double landmark which Honda is now celebrating.
Honda has come a long way in those three decades, keeping that original plant in Marysville on line while expanding to three more - in East Liberty, OH; Lincoln, AL; and Greensburg, IN - with a fifth plant (the Performance Manufacturing Center) opening on the same site in Marysville to build the Acura NSX next year. It also builds engines in Lincoln and in Anna, OH, and automatic transmissions at Russells Point, OH, and Tallapoosa, GA.
Between those seven sites, Honda produces 11 different models, including the Accord, Civic, Crosstour, CR-V, Pilot, Odyssey and Ridgeline as well as the Acura ILX, TL, RDX and MDX. Production keeps on ramping up as Honda produced a record 1.3 million vehicles in the US last year, 95 percent of which are sold in the US. Scope out the details in the press release below and click the image above to see it all laid out in a handy infographic.

Honda confirms 2014 Odyssey and Acura MDX for New York

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

Look beneath the seats of a Honda Odyssey and you'll likely find a handful of that iconic loop cereal loved by toddlers nationwide. And to show that Honda understands its minivan's target market, it is using the breakfast staple to announce its plans to reveal the updated 2014 model at next week's New York Auto Show. While the announcement is creative, it unfortunately lacks much in the way of information, leaving us with little more than a vague teaser alluding to "some innovative new features."
As expected, Honda has also confirmed we will see the production version of the 2014 Acura MDX in New York. We expect the 2014 MDX to look very much like the prototype we saw in January at the Detroit Auto Show with only slight differences. The 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 will be offered with all-wheel drive or, in a first for MDX, front-wheel drive.
You'll find the official press snippets for both below, and we'll have live images and details on both from the New York show. Until then... Cheerio!

2015 Acura NSX burns to the ground at the 'Ring [w/video]

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

Assuming all goes to plan, automakers test their vehicles to the breaking point in the months and years leading up to that vehicle's actual release into the public. Which is good, because it's much better for a car to break in glorious fashion in the hands of the company that produces it than in the driveway of an owner who just spent their hard-earned cash to get it.
Such was the case with this production-guise Acura NSX prototype that we saw running around the Nürburgring just the other day. We can't be 100-percent certain, but the burned-out carcass is wearing the same number plate as the car that was spotted earlier, so it's likely the very same NSX. We have no idea what was the cause of the blaze that turned this Acura into the car-b-q you see pictured above, but our spy shooters on the ground in Germany say it was not involved in any collision, having caught on fire all on its own with engineers behind the wheel.
The good news is that nobody was hurt, though the car is quite clearly a complete loss. We're sure there's another ready to to test in the burned car's place... just as soon as the engineers at Honda figure out exactly what went wrong. Have a look at the smoldering aftermath up above, and feel free to scroll down below to see a video of the car in much better circumstances.
