Big Rod Family Auto in Durham Sold my daughter a Lemon

BEWARE of Rod Family Auto!! My daughter purchased a 1994 Honda Accord from Big Rod Family Auto, which resides at 515 E Trinity Avenue, Durham, NC 27701-1950, phone number 919-680-8667. One week after her purchase she started having problems with the car over heating, she call the dealership and was told that they would fix it for a little over $300 (now why would she have to pay for anything especially since the car... view more was barley a week old) so she ended up taking it to my car mechanic which replaced the relay sensor and gave the car a oil change and a tune-up (again why did this have to be done so soon after the purchase). The car also had other problems such as broken axle, no radio, broken antenna, bad tires which Rob`s Family Auto knew about at the time of purchase. Finally after driving the car for less than 2 months the car has a busted head gasket, I doubt very seriously Rob Family Auto didn`t know about these problems, but what they saw was a 22 year old young lady looking for a car and they dumped this mess on her, not caring that she purchased a car to get her back and forth to work as well as getting her children to school. Rob` Family Auto honestly robbed my child out of $2800, plus $200 documentation fee for a piece of junk. It is sad that NC does not honor the Lemon Law and this is why places like Rob`s Family Auto can get over on people like my daughter. We have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau, I`m sure there are other cases where Rob Family Auto has sold Lemon cars to people, if we all stand out and voice our issues maybe there will be something done about this nonsense. I do know of another case and pushing for that person to file a claim with the BBB along with our since Rob ?ˆ?Family?ˆ? auto is not willing to do the right thing by my daughter and others.
