Reviews:

I came in with a battery issue which could have potentially been $300 and a 2 day wait for the part to come in. Brad (mechanic) was able to dig through everything and found the spare part for his own car and used it to fix mine. April at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. They both did everything they could to prevent me from having to spend the $300, even using his own car part. I will be going back her... view moree for all my future car care. Thank you Brad and April!

You can really trust this AAA Car Care Center
I have been taking our vehicles to this location of AAA for the last three years. Our family has four different vehicles - all different makes and models. So you can imagine how frequently we visit the Avent Ferry AAA - it`s more than a dozen times per year for oil changes alone. The work done is top notch and always done on a timely basis. It is a difficult task to find a car mechanic that you can trust. Ho... view morewever, I have found that you can really trust these guys. The reception you receive is always very friendly and professional. I have found that they have never thrust on me any unnecessary repairs, although they have advised me of repairs to be considered in `x` thousand miles or `y` months. In addition to the many oil changes, I have had repairs done on every one of our vehicles - at some time during the last three years. They have been done very professionally and very cost-effectively. On a few occasions, I have taken more than one of our vehicles to a second location (e.g. Merchants Tire, etc.) for a `second opinion` and quote. On EVERY OCCASION, the quote from AAA was lower - sometimes, significantly lower. Based upon my experience, I would rate this AAA Car Care Center as the most reliable and trustworthy of any service location I have used over the last 10 years.

Very Bad Experience with Them
My GF took her car to that place to fix the dip stick tube and replace fuel pump. They did it in a day and charged us $700 . My GF got her car back and drove for 2 days that the engine warning light went on again. We took it back to that place and they said that the fuel pump and filter had not been replaced. They need to do it again for another $700. I was really unhappy about this but still left the car there. When... view more I got the car today the bottom edges on both sides were damaged. It is clear that they caused this by lifting the car incorrectly. I just wanna say this place is very very disappointing. Don`t ever go there. They are suckers.

Won`t be going back.
I came in with a dead battery and they claimed I needed $1000 worth of ""essential"" work done to get the car going again. When I had my car towed elsewhere for a second opinion, my suspicions were confirmed...dead battery!

Don`t go to the one on Glenwood
I went in and they made me wait forever then charged me a ridiculous amount of money and I ahd to leave my car over night and keep calling them the next day. They have these two fat red neck men there that do not give a damn about anything. Maybe they`re just challanged?

Untrustworthy - they`ll tell you about problems not there
I went for a regular oil change, and they wanted me to get a transmission fluid flush and replacement. They said it was leaking--""the first thing they saw when they put the vehicle up to look underneath"". Well, I hesitated a lot. I didn`t have the money to do that repair anyway. Then I remembered I had a coupon, so I pulled it out. They then proceeded to recalculate the price with my coupon, and the price went up... view more! They were trying to charge me even more. That`s when I got really suspicious, so I declined to purchase the repair altogether. I brought my car to the dealership. They guy at the dealership and I were chatting, and I asked about anything leaking from the underside. He said, oh, that`s just your air conditioning. No, you have no leaks. Long story short, never drop a dime at AAA auto on anything other than what you originally had in mind before you pulled up in front of their shop. Or better yet, take your business elsewhere.

Never go to this place- Money sucker
I went to this place for NC State Inspection, they failed my inspection and gave me a bill of around $ 500.00. Since I read the reviews about this place, I took my car to another place and they inspected the car and suggested that nothing would be needed to replace at this point of time. Please never go to this place ever, I wasted 60 bucks and I would have not gone there...this place is money sucker

Never go to that place again
*** Please Read before going to this place **** I used to have high opinion about this place until two weeks ago when I almost got ripped. Please read the story: I took my car to get NC state inspection and they gave me a report with ""Codes not Ready"" since the OBDII machine rejected it even before performing any safety inspection etc. BUT, they noted that my steering wheel hose had some leaks and I need to s... view morepend about $450 to repair and unless I do it my car was not going to pass Safety inspection even if I get a waiver for the OBD thing. I was suspicious at that point since my steering had been acting the same way for years and I did not have a problem with it. They charged me about $24 for failed inspection. I asked them why they were charging me as it was a failed inspection and they said they inspected the safety parts of the inspection but they did not give me a ""Fail"" report (which should be the case to charge me for the work done). On top of that the mechanic told me the computer rejected straight away when he put the probe as there were too many unset codes. I did not make a fuss about it and went to DMV and got a waiver. I took my car to my regular mechanic to see if there was a problem with the Steering hose etc and they told me there was none. Then I took the car to a different inspection station and they checked everything and did not find a thing and passed the inspection Then I called AAA to reverse my charge since they did not do the inspection. The guy who was on phone with me challenged and said ""You can do whatever you like"" and bluntly rejected the idea of reversing any charges Then the next day I went to the DMV and talked to a very nice and helpful inspector and explained him that I was charged for ""Not Ready"" report. He went inside and came back to me after a few minutes saying inspection stations are not supposed to charge people (for a ""Not Ready"" report inspection) and said he spoke to the inspection station and they agreed to reverse the charge and he asked me to go to that station so that they would give my money. I went and got my money immediately The DMV inspector made couple of points: 1. AAA should not have charged me and they charged which is illegal 2. The mechanic should have known that since my car is an older model which was exempt (gets an automatic waiver) from OBD inspection due to this particular model of the car had issues with OBD. He said there would be an option while doing inspection to bypass OBDII since this car gets automatic waiver and the owner of the car doesn`t need to go to DMV every year for waiver Apart from those: They tried to rip me off about $450 for things that do not require repair These are crooks and steal money by way of unnecessary repairs. They have no courtesy and politeness to address customers queries I will never go back to AAA autocare again given my horrible experience

Go for one problem leave with more than you bargained for
I took my car there b/c it was overheating & they said they fixed the problem. I went to work right after leaving there & it overheated again so I had to take it back and now they say its a whole new problem. But when I went to go pick it up it wouldn`t even turn on and they said when it overheated the coolant ""blew the fuses."" How was it fine all night, but when i come to get it all of a sudden it doesn`t work? I ... view moretried getting in contact with the person that fixed it but now they can`t find him
