I saw the man who runs this pl...
I saw the man who runs this place yell as loud as he could and cuss out two women who came to pick up a car. It was all because the man told her he wouldn`t accept a check or credit card payment even though they had signs on their windows for all the usual credit cards. He demanded that she give him over $1,000.00 in cash even though it was too late for any bank to be opened. She told him she had to call her husba... view morend to see if she could get the money somehow and stepped outside the front door. She was talking on the phone right outside the door when they called her back inside. He asked her if she had her car key and she showed him the bill and the key in her hand that HE HANDED TO HER when she first came in and started screaming and cussing at her and calling her all kinds of insulting things because she had the key. He didn`t even ask for it back before he started cussing at her. He started walking angrily around the counter toward them and they backed out the front door. They told him they were going to call the police and he started cussing and saying that the police couldn`t make him do anything. Well the police ended up making a big difference in his attitude. Although he was still kind of rude to the women while the officer was there, he didn`t yell or cuss anymore. He even took the check. It was a crazy thing to see and I won`t go back ever again.

Horrible Customer Service
It`s really a shame City Search makes you give the place one star in order to post your review. If I could there would be zero stars. In a nutshell, the mechanics are completely unprofessional, rude and, for lack of a better way to phrase it, completely unsophisticated. I got a few estimates before deciding to take my car to these people. They definitely had the lowest price, but they took two days longer than th... view moreey said they would, then they didn`t call me when it was finally ready. This was back in October and their card machine was ""broken"", which after reading other reviews makes me think they probably are a cash only place, but they advertise that they take all major credit cards. They didn`t tell me I had to pay the $400.00 in cash until I went to pay with my debit card. Luckily the bank down the street stays opened later than 5p.m. because they would not take a check either. I felt like they were really trying to pull something. Like they wanted me to have to leave my car so they could charge me some kind of holding fee, which the very rude man mentioned when I said I might have to wait until the next day to pick it up. I will never go there again and hope that this review and the others I`ve read keep anyone else from risking their service.

Pay, have workers cuss you out, and still try to keep car!
I saw something very disturbing today at this business. Two women came in to pick up a car and the bill costed in the thousands. She took the clipboard the man put in front of her and started looking at the bill. When one woman went to pay, she was told the credit card machine had been broken all week and she needed to pay cash. She told him she couldn`t get that much cash after the banks were closed. She als... view moreo asked why he didn`t tell her yesterday when she dropped the car off if the card reader was broken all week. The man was not helpful at all. He said there was nothing he could do for her. She said they could call the company they have their card machine with and do the transaction over the phone. The man said that they didn`t really have service for the card reader even though their windows all said they took all the major credit cards. One woman said that there were no signs posted to tell customers that they had to pay cash, which was why I was in there. Silver Lining told me the day before when I came in after work to pick up my car that their card machine was broken and wouldn`t let me have my car unless I paid the full amount right then. My bank was closed So I had to write a check and it bounced. I had to come back in and pay them cash. I had fees and paid extra money that I didn`t have to spend. Even though they just lied to me about the card machine, that`s not the really bad part. When the man wouldn`t try to help them figure out an agreement about payment. The woman said she had to step out and make a call. She picked up the things on the clipboard and started dialing the phone and she and the other woman walked ouside. The man was shaking his head and saying bad things while they was outside on the phone. A few seconds later he sent another guy out front to get her to come back inside. Both women came back in and the man who had been dealing with them asked the woman if she took her key back. She held up the hand with the paper work from the clipboard and the key was attached. The man started yelling so loud at her that she wasn`t supposed to take it. The women both looked shocked. I bet I did too. When one woman said he didn`t need to yell, he started to yell louder and cuss at them and call them names. It was crazy to see. He started to walk quick and angry around the counter to where they were and he looked crazy. Both the women backed quickly out the front door and told him they were calling the police. He yelled more before he came back inside and told another guy to block their car in the lot. When the police arrived the guy who worked there lied and said the woman grabbed her key ran out like she was trying to get her car without paying and even said the other woman started cussing him out. The police went out and talked to the women and after they told him what happened he made the man take a check from the woman even though he tried a few times to get out of accepting a check. He even tried to make her go get all the money she could from an ATM and write a new check for the rest. The police told the man that wasn`t right. The woman was still trying to get the deal done so she called her bank and let the balance play on the speaker phone so he could see she had it. He still tried to get out of it. Finally after the police and woman agreed to sign a paper saying that she wouldn`t cancel the check. It`s the strangest thing I ever saw at a business. I won`t be going back and neither with they I bet.
