Beware the advice you get here

I have a regular mechanic and the only reason I went to this place was I got a Groupon as a gift. The service was good and pretty quick. when they were close to done, 1 of the techs told me that the front passenger strut was so bent that if I hit a pothole or a bump that the strut could snap and fold the tire underneath the car. For $965 dollars he recommended I have them work on the car right away. I called my husb... view moreand who said just to come home. On the way home I called my mechanic. He saw me right away. He and his guys (4 total mechanics) poured over ea strut. They showed me that both the driver side and passenger side struts were identical. The short story is they were advising unnecessary work..
