Performed work that was not authorized, in fact replaced the same part they replaced the year before even though it was fine. Yes, as mentioned by someone else, very high priced parts. $$$$$

I have been servicing my 02 vette with D&M since 2003. They have also assisted me in customizing the car in every manner that I wanted to do. The exterior and interior were nearly perfect. The engine compartment needed some cosmetics done. When the work was started, a few issues were noted by the service dept that were material, but nothing that would have been known unless the engine was taken apart. Before they started the work, they discussed the findings and the work that should be done. I was provided a detailed estimate. The work was done in a timely manner and was completed below the estimate. They even did some cosmetic work for which I was not charged. The engine and the compartment look almost factory new! These guys take pride in their work and want to you to be totally satisfied. If you get involved with collector muscle and pony cars, you need to recognize that funds will need to be invested over time whether for restoration or to keep them running smoothly. The key is identifying your needs and desires for the cars and working with people who know the cars and who can work with you to set expectations.

I have been using Giesler`s Auto Repair for the past 22 years and I have no complaints what so ever. They have always gotten my cars right in. They call me to tell me exactly what is wrong and give me an honest & fair quote. They have even arranged for me to be picked up and brought to the shop to pick up my car. Gieslers has been professional and friendly in my past experiences. As with any auto shop labor costs are inflated and I, who has had several years of auto training and worked for 35 years on cars, I find auto repair labor high, Gieslers is no different.

Since I work on autos, I work with all the part stores and know the prices. recently Gieslers really gouged me with 150% mark up on parts beyond normal co... view morests. I brought that to the owners attention and emediately he yelled at me and treated me very unprofessionally and rudely. Haa! caught him and now his defense is to attack me. After researching thte owner did agree that he charged me $158 for a $55 part. He refunded me $35, so I only paid $124 for a $55 part, not to mention the other inflated parts he would not do anything about.

I am not saying not to use this business, just be aware of the price you are paying. As long as you know nothing about cars and as long as you have no problems then Gieslers will be nice.

I will be happy to change my review if Gieslers decides to fairly price my parts.

I bought a car from D&M Corvette and it burned 1 quart of oil per tank of gas. Payed good money for something i had to rebuild motor and trans.

My Grandson took a P-U to Giesler`s to be checked out before he bought it used. They found that the transmission was bad. Subsequently the used car lot had a warranty on it and a transmission was replaced.
That saved my Grandson about $3000. Giesler`s again checked out the P-U after the replacement and it was up to standards. They didn`t even charge him for the second checkup. Do not go to D&M Corvette Specialists. I brought my vintage Corvette in with a specific list of repairs. A day later I received an estimate that had 2 repairs that I did not request and turns out did not need. They said I had a radiator leak and wanted to replace my entire radiator system for $1430. Turns out I do not have a radiator problem. They wanted to remove both exhaust manifolds and detail them for $560. Did ... view morenot need this either. For one of my requested repairs, they wanted to charge me $400 to replace my battery and adjust its mount. After all this, I decided not to use their services. They charged me $165 for the estimate, which in my judgement was neither trustworthy nor reasonable. Vintage Corvettes may be valuable, but they are rather simple machines. Good luck.

Regarding Giesler`s Auto Repair in Meridian, my husband and I have had to take both our vehicles in for repair and maintenance in the last six months. Since just arriving in Boise eight months ago we didn`t have a car repair place picked out yet. He said a pastor friend of his had just recently moved to Idaho as well and has been going to Giesler`s with great success. So we tried them out. Great and fast service was had. Bob Giesler and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and never talk down to customers. They are frank with what`s needed and do not do or suggest anything that is not absolutely necessary without compromising quality and making your car safe to drive out of their lot.

We would recommend without hesitation.
