Worst transmission shop in southern CA

my classic t-bird was briught to escondido transmission by my mechanic MUSCLE CAR ALLEY which is no longer in bussiness and neither escondido transmission. my mechanic took my car back three times to fix multiple problems.the first thing they did not replace my torque converter. i told them that would pay the extra money to have it changed, they did not change it. there were bolt loose inside the tranny and it chatte... view morered in reverse.they failed to fix any of the problems.i wouldn`t let them work on my sons tricycle.i would even give them a rating because they don`t deserve one.It costing me more money to fix their shortcuts.they ruining the name that the other owner had built up.i had a tranny rebuilt by the old owners, they were Aces.they shouldn`t be in bussiness. i didn`t want to give them a rating but this website wouldn`t let me get by without it....

Worst Auto service I ever received! Stay away!

It looks like the previous two reviews were made by the owner and employes. Reads more like a commercial than reality in my opinion. My experience was nothing like the above. PROS: Cheap Prices (sort of) CONS: Poor, Un-professional Workmanship & Incomplete Job More than a week late & my car does not work properly. I took it to another transmission shop and they said that Escondido Transmission has th... view moree worst reputation in the area for bad transmission jobs. That mechanic said that my transmission was not built or installed correctly & I may have to replace it very soon. Escondido Transmission uses the cheapest parts available and substandard equipment and labor. That`s the opinion expressed by Two transmission shops that I personally had to visit about my continuing transmission problems. My car was returned filthy inside & out and I still can`t get out the stains on my carpet and upholstery. When I went back to Escondido Transmission to complain, The owner Art Vargas went into a fit of rage. In my opinion, he was demeaning, threatening, abusive & expressed that he actually "hated" me because "I was not smart enough to see how great of a mechanic HE is". Obviously, customer service is not in Art Vargas` skill-set. More than a little self-righteous for my reality. In My Opinion, You Couldn`t Do Much Worse Than Escondido Transmission! I hope my experience will help you to avoid this kind of unnecessary disappointment from a very poor quality transmission shop in your time of need.

Worst service I ever received! Stay away!

Great place!

This is a great place to take you`r car to, small and friendly with fast service. I would suggest this shop to any one who doesnt want to deal with people trying to make them buy parts they dont need or off the chart prices. It`s been over 7 years I been taking my vehicles here and am completely satisfied. Thank`s Escondido Transmisson and Team!
