1975 Cj-5 Rock Crawler Jeep, Black And White, Great Condition on 2040-cars
Twin Bridges, Montana, United States
I bought this car about 7-8 years ago out of West Virginia. The previous owner had $32,000 invested in this Jeep. I bought it as a project to finish but decided to finish my CJ8 Scrambler instead. I have barely used this vehicle. The tires are like new but are beginning to weather crack. The Jeep drives straight down the road and runs great. This Jeep is a lot of fun and can drive up mountains and almost anything you can think of. Here are some of the features that this Jeep has (listed below)...
Professionally built fabricated box tube frame. Jegs 350 motor Turbo 400 transmission Atlas transfer case Dana 60 rear end (coil spring with four link suspension) Dana 44 front end (sitting on leaf springs) Fiberglass body VIN # J5F83AH012635 For more information please feel free to contact me at 605-728-2789 or email me at oromgt@yahoo.com. For sale locally, I have the right to end the auction at anytime. If you have less than five feed backs, DO NOT bid until you have contacted me first. There is a $500 dollar deposit that is to be wired or paid through paypal to me immediately on purchase. |

This American Life spends a week selling Jeeps in Long Island
Thu, 19 Dec 2013So you think you know car dealers? Well, maybe you do, but This American Life spent a month at Town and Country Jeep Chrysler Doge Ram in Long Island to give us a behind-the-scenes look (or listen, since it's a radio program) at what it's like to be a car dealer.
Yes, there's a lot of swearing in thick New York accents, frustration, confusion, and generally it's a madhouse at the dealership. But that's understandable when the sales staff has to sell 129 vehicles in October in order to get an $85,000 manufacturer bonus - with several other Jeep dealerships within a 10-mile radius.
The episode, 129 Cars, is worth a listen, but make sure you have 71 minutes to spare if you want to get through it in one sitting. Head here for the unedited version or here for the bleeped version (which is 58 minutes long).
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns
Thu, 16 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
Chrysler's Jefferson North plant builds 5-millionth SUV [w/video]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant opened in 1992 for production of the first Jeep Grand Cherokee, but in the subsequent years, the Detroit plant has gone on to produce some of the company's biggest SUVs including the Jeep Commander and Dodge Durango. Earlier this week, the plant produced its five-millionth SUV, which, fittingly, was a Grand Cherokee.
Celebrating the plant's five-millionth unit, the silver 2014 Grand Cherokee was promptly donated to the USO. In addition to this milestone SUV, Chrysler also had a near-perfect 1993-95 ZJ Grand Cherokee on hand for the photo op. Scroll down for the Chrysler press release as well as a video showing some of the speeches from the celebration.
