Nobody makes this size engine anymore, and they're getting harder to come by. Please see the photos for condition of the body. Yes, this is a work truck. If you need to haul logs and rocks and mulch, or pull a boat or home or trailer - this is a perfect truck for you!

I bought this truck about ten years ago because I needed something bigger to haul and pull, as mentioned above. I've only put 10K miles on this truck in the last ten years.

Now, for the best part..... When I bought the truck, it had a brand new drive train in it! Yup. 10K miles on a 10yr-old engine and tranny. Where else are you going to find a truck like this?

Truck comes with a tow package and brake-assist. AM/FM/Cassette.

Why am I selling it? We're downsizing a bit. Besides, I have four other trucks.

Now, I'll explain the photos:

*You'll see two photos with channel-locks. The one for the tailgate means you need to use that one to open the tailgate. The one inside the truck means you need that one to bring the passenger seat forward. Both tools will be included with the truck. Really, not a big deal. Both are kept behind the front seats.

*The side of the truck that looks like someone ran over a big log is because someone ran over a big log.

*The one of the driver side door that looks like the door retainer spring popped out and caused the door to open much farther than it was meant to is because the door retainer spring popped out and the door flew open much farther than it was ever meant to. Yes, that happened more than just once. As a result, the door hinge was repaired. However, the wind whistles pretty loudly as the truck rolls down the road. Maybe a bit more weather-stripping could take care of it. Not sure. Haven't tried.

All other photos should show the rest of the bumps and scratches that are typical for a good work truck.

You'll be allowed 14 days to either pick up or arrange shipping.  Shipping company must be able to load the truck at the truck stop in Fletcher NC, I-26, Exit 44.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

2015 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition goes dark, looks good

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

Forget about the so-called sporty Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition. If you want a General Motors pickup with some added style, this one looks like a more cohesive, well-done package to our eyes (though it's also not "sporty," despite GM using that term over and over again). It's called the GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, and it hits dealerships later this year.
For its more stylish truck, GMC has fitted the 2015 Sierra Double Cab with a body-colored grille surround, door handles, mirror caps, side moldings and bumpers. The truck also rides on black 20-inch aluminum wheels.
The Elevation Edition, which GMC contends qualifies as a sport truck, comes standard with the Sierra's 285-horsepower, 4.3-liter V6, though buyers can opt for the more powerful 5.3-liter V8 with 355 hp. Other standard goodies include OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity and Bluetooth, all housed in the 4.2-inch Intellilink color display.

OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.

Who sold the most heavy-duty pickups in 2012? PickupTrucks.com investigates

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Domestic manufacturers enjoyed a good year for heavy-duty pickup sales in 2012. PickupTrucks.com has taken a close look at exactly how those sales broke down between each manufacturer and between three-quarter and one-ton pickups. Ford sold some 67,786 F-250 Super Duty models last year with the Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD falling just behind at 56,359 units. The Ram 2500 HD came in third at 41,918, while the GMC Sierra 2500 HD earned itself fourth place with 27,616 deliveries. While Ford held onto the top spot in the one-ton market, Ram easily nailed down second place by selling more 3500 HD models last year than General Motors sold Silverado 3500 HD and Sierra 3500 HD trucks combined.
So, did GM manage to sell more trucks than Ford with its two brands? Very nearly. Ford sold a total of 119,338 heavy-duty pickups to GM's 111,555. Ram, meanwhile, moved a distant 77,583. But perhaps more interesting is the diesel take rate in this segment. PickupTrucks.com says 80 percent of all domestic one-ton trucks roll from the dealer lot with a turbo-diesel under the hood. Head over to the site for a closer look at the breakdown.
