1977 Dodge Power Wagon that runs and drives. This is a very solid truck with no frame issues at all. There is rust starting to come through just over the rear wheels which is an easy fix. Other than that the body is solid. Has some dings and scrapes in the paint as you would expect on a truck this old. I did notice the floor is soft just by the gas pedal but the rest of the cab area is real good. The interior is nice, great dash etc. I put brand new tires on it recently and had new custom dual exhaust done by a professional shop. It sounds awsome as a big block Mopar have their own unique sound. It has lockouts unlike many of the older 4X4s I've seen. The lights all work as well as the heat. Gas guage is not working and the wiper arms have come unhooked inside, we are working on that and will try to have these issues fixed, bid accordingly though cause it may not happen. The odometer reads 29000 and it may be correct as it came from an old farm in northern Minn and was not a daily driver. Basicly it's a well cared for old school farm truck that likely was kept inside most of the time. This thing is a beast, may be one of the toughest trucks built, I love driving it. Make no mistake that big block likes gas though so if you're looking for fuel economy forget it. If you're looking for thumbs up cruising around in a sweet old Power Wagon this truck is for you. It's not a show truck, you can drive it and enjoy the thing. Motor runs good but for some reason it's a hard starting 440, I think it's not holding prime so you gotta pump it a lot. May be the choke, I'm not sure but when you get it going it rocks. Automatic transmission shifts strong and the four wheel drive woorks great. Brakes are firm and the steering seems tight. This is a great truck to drive as it is with minor repairs or a great candidate for a simple resteration. I'm only selling this truck to complete the resteration on my 68 Charger otherwise it would stay in the shed till I had time to tinker with it. Buying this truck will help me complete my life long dream car project. I have other Mopars for sale on here also so check my other listings. As with all my Mopars I prefer they go to a good home as they are special to me. I have some hard to find Mopar parts as well, mostly B body stuff so ask if you're in need. Ask questions and bid to buy but only if you intend to complete the deal. I'll deliver the truck for the cost of fuel basicly but it will be paid for in full before I make that comitment. I have the option of ending this listing at any time as it is for sale local or I could change my mind so don't hesitate, if you like it, buy it. Call Doug at 218-821-4394

 Thanks and good luck!

Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:

Defiance Dodge Charger, saving Earth from aliens isn't clean work [w/video]

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

You'll be forgiven for not having heard about the TV show Defiance - it actually hasn't aired its first episode yet. The new science fiction show about an alien war against Earth in the near future seems like a perfect fit for the SyFy channel, and, apparently one that Dodge saw as a slick marketing opportunity for its Charger sedan.
Here in Chicago, Dodge has given a large corner of its show stand to the Defiance Charger, a car that won't be skipped by any Mad Max fans in attendance at this year's show. The Charger boasts one hell of a gnarly patina under a confusingly welded cage of tube steel, as well as window bars, a grille guard in front, and big, knobby truck tires. There aren't any obvious guns or turrets on the outside of the vehicle, so we can only hope that the characters driving it go well-armed.
Look for the Charger to make its star turn in Defiance when the series premieres on SyFy on April 15 at 9:00 PM EST. Also, there's said to be a Defiance video game in the works, too, so you may get a chance to steer the burly Dodge for yourself. Find a trailer for the show, below, as well.

Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat in the works

Fri, 25 Jul 2014

In Autoblog's recent First Drive of the 2015 Challenger SRT with the 707-horsepower Hellcat V8 we found its engine to be as brutally powerful as the numbers would suggest, even if it wasn't the best handler. However, the muscle-car-styling just isn't right for some buyers that need four doors and proper rear seats to haul around the family. It appears that Dodge has their backs, though, because the Hellcat is very likely on its way into the Charger in the near future. Imagine the looks on your passengers' faces when you stomp down on the throttle.
According to Road and Track, when Dodge submitted the Hellcat for engine power certification to the Society of Automotive Engineers, the company included the Charger on the paperwork. That showed that the automaker wanted the engine checked out for the sedan, too. R&T reckons the 707-hp Charger would hit the road about a year from now, clearing the Challenger for a year of exclusivity with the powerplant.
When the Charger SRT Hellcat does hit the road, it may carry a very special accolade. Assuming nothing beats it in the meantime, it might be the world's highest horsepower production sedan. Think on that for a second. Even a Mercedes S65 AMG only has 621 horsepower, though a good bit more torque at 738 pound-feet to the Dodge's 650 lb-ft. So while the beastly engine is getting put into other models, where else would you like to see it? The Ram? Grand Cherokee? Let us know in Comments.
