2012 Chevy tahoe PPV, with low miles 42k, has never been owned by a police department. Has had two private owners, me being the second as a collector. I have owned multiple police vehicles and came across this one by chance, a friend owned it prior and had it fully outfitted. It handles like a mustang and is very fast. It's rated by the factory to 140mph and is the only Chevy truck/SUV that has 140mph certified speedometer. Since I bought the truck I've put in a new windshield, changed the oil (mobile 1), brand new cooper tires, had it fully detailed. Factory options: Have window sticker and all dealer paper work Dual batteries Power driver seat Spot light mount, do not have spotlight Police coolers Lowered, with performance suspension Stealth mode lights Rubber floors WARRANTY-powertrain Now the good stuff! Brush guard New cooper discovery tires- ride great and a little more aggressive tread Tinted windows all around 800 police radio with DD antenna Rear metal Vault with push button lock or keyed Rear equipment cage Factory console DVD touchscreen radio with iPod/iPhone 4 hookup/charger Weather tech digital fit mats front and rear Rear LED light tht lights up rear compartment, big plus! Siren with handheld backlite remote Also control lights, have small video for this. This is a very rare truck that is ready to go , fully outfitted, and was always privately owned. If you want it shipped you handle the arrangement but I will help get it loaded on the truck. Truck is for sale locally as well and recommend the buyer doing an inspection, so we will all be happy. All funds must clear before the truck and title (have in hand) go anywhere! All police equipment will be disconnected unless you have credentials. UAW to vote on strike at Kentucky Corvette plant
Tue, 08 Apr 2014The current wait time for a new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is well, not short. With word of a strike at the Bowling Green, KY factory responsible for seventh-generation sports car, though, that wait time could end up growing substantially.
Now, a strike is still a ways off. UAW Local 2164, which represents the 800 workers responsible for screwing the Corvette together, is set to vote on authorizing a strike today, but even if the employees give the action a go, it's far from a sure thing. According to The Tennessean, both regional and national union officials would need to put their stamp of approval on strike action.
"The membership has to vote to strike, but it's just a step in the process," said Gary Casteel, the UAW's Region 8 director and one of the people that would need to authorize a strike action. Casteel told The Tennessean, "It's purely a local situation, though. They are having some issues with the local management."
Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts
Wed, 27 Feb 2013There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.
Dodge vs. Chevy tug-of-war taken to the extreme
Mon, 17 Dec 2012They say "idle hands are the devil's playground," but said playgrounds grow to Disney-sized proportions when a pair of jacked-up trucks, two egos, a chain and an empty mall parking lot are involved. Proof of this is the video below, which shows a Cummins-powered Dodge Ram circa 2006 to 2008 chained tail-to-tail with what looks to be a gasoline-powered Chevrolet Silverado from the late 1990s or early 2000s.
We don't necessarily have to tell you who wins this battle, but we'll let you see for yourself the lengths the "winning" driver goes to prove his point. There's plenty of foul language in the video below, so beware that this might be Not Safe For Work, and not that we should have to tell you, but please, do not try this at home.
