Up for sale is my 1955 NAPCO Chevrolet long bed pick up truck with clear Nevada title. This truck has a true NAPCO 4x4 Drive train (not spicier) Axels appear to be one ton. Axels have 8 lugs. Truck runs but not very well. Transmission works but 4x4 does not. Could be hubs? Body is beat up and there is rust in the cab corners. Floors are in great shape. Engine is a 307 small block. Here is a brief story of the truck. Bought it from my neighbor 10 years ago. It has been sitting on his ranch since around 1990. Started tinkering with it a few months ago. Drained and cleaned the gas tank. Put a new $400 Edelbrok carb on it. New points. Truck started right up, little bit of a blow by smoke. Threw some primer on it and drove it around the ranch for a bit. This is not a daily Driver. Will Need work to make it road worthy. Perfect truck for someone looking to do a full restoration. Selling to fund my 57 truck with Duramax project. I am re-listing this item because I want to see this Classic go to someone who will truely appreciate this rare find! Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.

Chevy gets cracking on Cruze EV fleet testing

The Chevrolet Volt hasn't yet gone on sale, but General Motors is looking at ways of expanding its electric vehicle lineup. Chevy, along with partner LG, is employing a group of all-electric cars in the form of the Cruze. The sedans are part of a demonstration fleet which is located in Seoul, South Korea and is being used to provide data in an electric vehicle research project. The goal is to gather information on driving patterns and charging behavior in addition to consumer acceptance.
The Cruze EVs, along with some Daewoo Lacetti Premieres EVs, are the first fleet of full-size electric vehicles and should provide invaluable information for The General. Staying full-size means not sacrificing cargo space, so the battery pack is mounted to the underbody, leaving the trunk area open for plenty recyclable, canvas grocery bags.
