Exceptional reserve price. Low for what this is.. And with the extra's your getting..
Opportunity to go out of country and this is the best project we hope to sell for the extra funds. Would not be selling it period if not for this opportunity to see our kids and new grand baby.

That being said.. Love this truck. It barley has surface rust, but it has some. No rust holes. Very Very solid truck. This is the one to restore. Not original engine but one from the 50's. It runs with carb spray. Front head lights work. Has even the original cigarette lighter. Have extra parts to go with it we put in the back of the truck. Extra grill that can be fixed also. Radiator support etc. Look at pictures. This is not a driver. Needs a total restore. Transmission does shift nice with clutch. Tires hold air. Have seat supports that go above fuel tank in the bed also. Doors open and close so nice. Can open from the outside only right now. Front windshield crank is there but not operational. Bad thing is critters have eaten and crapped the seat. Cleaned it best we could but odor is still evident. There was poop in many nooks. Look at the pictures for places of dents dings and tears/ rips in fenders, body of truck.
Clear Oregon title in our names. But do have the one we got with it and was able to keep for souvenir purposes. That stamped on it by DMV. No vin plate, need a new one made. Plates are the same from old title and has the chassis plate. The prior owners of this truck are pretty interesting folks. Part of the history of the Three Rivers Recreation Area. Pioneers of , Co Founders.. And off griders. To us, that was a very cool history.
Please ask questions as i am sure i missed some things you may want answers to. Will answer the best I can. Sold As Is, no warranty. No Returns, no refunds, No Exceptions. Must be paid in full within 7 days off auction end through pay pal, before the truck will be released to shipper or buyer.. Deposit is non refundable and must be paid within 48 hours also through pay pal. No Exceptions. If not payed as described we reserve the right to cancel sale and relist if we wish. Must be realistic in time frame to pick this truck up or your shipper.  Must be within and no more then 14 days to pick the truck up from Auction end. Or Transaction will be canceled with no refunds Period. Absolutely no exceptions. May seem harsh but experience has caused us to put this in our binding ad. And if you wish to own the truck, and bid , and win. It only makes sense to have the funds to pay and way to complete the transaction as listed clearly here in this ad..
So that said, you will love this trucks potential and ability to end up doing or having done, that nice high end restore.  Trucks are sky rocketing. Hate to sell, but only for the trip.

Good luck and Happy Bidding! Thank You

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray convertible headed for Geneva debut

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

While most of the world is still coming down from all the hype surrounding the debut of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month, we're already looking to the future. And according to Autoweek, the next chapter in the C7 story will unfold at the Geneva Motor Show in March. That's right, General Motors is reportedly using the Swiss stage as its venue to debut the Corvette Stingray convertible.
If this strikes you as odd, you aren't alone. After all, with a car that's such an American icon, we'd fully expect Chevrolet to unveil it here on our shores in either Chicago or New York. But according to Autoweek, GM is looking to boost export sales of its halo car, and since the C7 was engineered to compete with the world's best and brightest, showing it off in Geneva is somewhat of a smart move. What's more, those with sharp memories will recall that GM used the Geneva expo to debut the sixth-generation C6 Corvette convertible back in March 2004, so there's also a precedent.
Details surrounding the Corvette Stingray convertible are still slim, though we fully expect the 6.2-liter V8 and choice of either six-speed automatic or seven-speed manual transmissions to carry over unchanged. Prototypes spotted on the road showed the car fitted with a cloth convertible roof, as well.

Read This: Auto Extremist advocates for Corvette as brand with multiple models [w/poll]

Fri, 25 Jan 2013

The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette really grinds Peter De Lorenzo's gears. Or, more accurately, the self-anointed Auto Extremist has an issue with what he sees as mismanagement of the legendary sports car by General Motors executives. In a new editorial on his website, De Lorenzo argues it's time to split Corvette off from Chevrolet to create an all-new brand, complete with a model range with at least three new takes on the sports car. Capable of fully leveraging the successes of the Corvette Racing program and brandishing the full might of GM's technical prowess, the Corvette brand would theoretically give Porsche something to sweat over.
Sure, that sounds like a party, but given GM's troubled track record when it comes to launching (let alone managing) brands, we say that's slippery slope that could just as easily end with the whole Corvette franchise in the scrap bin. Either way, the notion is certainly an interesting one. Head over to Auto Extremist to take in the full editorial, and then let us know what you think in Comments. Should GM split off its most storied nameplate?

First 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray spotted crashed in the wild

Tue, 12 Feb 2013

This restyled blue 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is wearing manufacturer plates, and it appears to be the same one seen around the internet in various pictures lately. This crash is likely not part of the Chevrolet testing regimen, however. Digital Corvettes forum member gpetry posted the shot with a note: "got this picture e-mailed from a friend in Arizona last week..." No circumstances are given, other than the incident occurred in the thick of a set of curvy roads, and the coupe ping-ponged off a guardrail and into the rock wall. Hopefully everyone involved in the incident walked away.
It may not be a pretty thing to see, a crashed sports car that's not even available for sale yet, but rest easy. Many pre-production cars are used for development and then unceremoniously crushed and scrapped, anyway. If that's the case here, that makes this wrecked 'Vette less of a tragedy and more of a case of exceptional efficiency.
