I am selling a 1979 Monte Carlo, V8 267, Automatic, 30,000 ORIGINAL MILES!!!! VIN- 1z37j9k534715 Here are some facts about the car! --30,XXX ORIGINAL MILES (This car was left to a friend of mine from his Grandma who kept the car garaged. He has kept the car garaged for years until deciding to sell it, while driving it occasionally to keep the fluids flowing) --AC works, just needs a recharge (I already have the kit) -- NO RUST! --ALL ORIGINAL down to the AM/FM radio! --This car is in immaculate shape considering its age!! (small tear in driver side head rest, very minor droop-age in headliner, extremely minor minor hail damage on trunk, and paint scuff on fender that's it!!) Those can be viewed in the pictures. --This car runs like a brand new automobile --FAST --90% tread on rear tires, front at about 50% --I had the oil changed, and a check up on it last week, nothing needs work, everything is perfect. --Clean MO Title I can't think of anything else to say about it except that it is AWESOME, and I would LOVE to keep it for myself. You can't drive this anywhere without people stopping you and asking about it. You could keep it original, or add your own touches. This car would look sweet with some racing rims! GM recalling 426,000 sedans over faulty transmission shift cable
Fri, 21 Sep 2012General Motors is recalling some 426,240 sedans that may have a faulty transmission shift cable, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report this morning. The recall concerns a fault within four-speed automatic transmissions equipped on 2007-2010 Saturn Aura models, and 2008-2010 Chevrolet Malibu and Pontiac G6 models.
The report specifies that tabs on the transmission shift cable may fracture and separate. Such a fault could cause a discrepancy between the actual position of the transmission and the apparent position of the shift lever.
GM is currently working to notify owners of the vehicles in question, and dealers will check and replace shift cables free of charge. Scroll down to read the complete NHTSA report.

On paper, the Chevrolet Impala is a pretty strong seller, posting annual sales that have hovered right around 170,000 units for the last two years, but it only takes one trip to practically any rental car agency to discover where the majority of those sales have come from. In fact, General Motors told Autoblog that a full 70 percent of Impala sales last year went to fleet companies for things like rental cars and government vehicles. Logic tells us that this is neither good for resale values nor name equity, so Chevrolet is getting ready to roll out an all-new Impala with improved comfort, styling and technology, hoping to turn the tables on its retail-to-fleet ratio.
Chevrolet's sedans have come on quite strong in the last few months with the introduction of the Cruze diesel and the SS sedan, but while these will likely be low-volume sellers, there's more pressure for the new Impala to perform well as GM looks to slash fleet sales and compete with the wide variety of full-size sub-luxury sedans. Riding on a platform shared with the Buick LaCrosse and Cadillac XTS, the 2014 Impala will compete against the Hyundai Azera, Ford Taurus and Toyota Avalon on the more traditional side, while also looking to take a bite out of somewhat sportier models like the Chrysler 300/Dodge Charger twins and the Nissan Maxima.
