1966 C10 CHEVY SHORT STEP SIDE TRUCK. THIS TRUCK HAS A 1995 CORVETTE 5.7 LT1 ENGINE. A FRESH REBUILD. I HAD THE ENGINE COMPUTER BALANCED WHILE I HAD IT DOWN. HAS A 1997 4L60E TRANS, 3:07 REAR RATIO. LT1 SWAP PAINLESS WIRING HARNESS, REAR POLLY GAS TANK WITH FILL IN REAR FENDER. EVERYTHING ON THE ENGINE AND DRIVE TRAIN HAS BEEN 100% REBUILT. LOWERED, DROPPED SPINDLES, REAR FRAME C NOTCHED, DISC BRAKE, 5 LUG SS WHEELS. NEW WOOD IN BED WITH ALL STAINLESS TRIM. THIS LITTLE TRUCK WILL CRUISE AT INTERSTATE SPEEDS AND HANDLES LIKE A DREAM. Chevy Corvette gets Valet Mode with Performance Data Recorder [w/video]
Mon, 18 Aug 2014For the 2015-model-year, Chevrolet introduces Valet Mode for the Corvette, an enhancement to the Performance Data Recorder (PDR) already available and to your peace of mind. The PDR already captures 720p HD video with a windshield-mounted camera, records interior audio with a cabin microphone and gathers telemetry data using GPS, saving the data to an SD card in the glovebox. You can then watch your track-day antics with various information overlays on the center console screen.
Valet Mode will let you hit 'Replay' when your car gets pulled up front smelling vaguely of fricasseed clutch. Turned on by entering a four-digit code, it also locks the interior storage spaces and turns off the infotainment system. It can't be turned off until the code is re-entered. NHTSA could add 1M cars to GM recall

The Detroit Free Press is reporting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration may expand a recall campaign for faulty brake lamps. The agency is currently looking into complaints that certain 2004-2011 Chevrolet Malibu models as well as some 2007-2009 Saturn Aura sedans may have brake lights that do not illuminate when the driver presses the pedal. Alternatively, the lamps may also illuminate without input from the driver. General Motors recalled 8,000 Pontiac G6 models from the 2005 model year for the same problem, and NHTSA is currently investigating whether to add 550,000 more G6 models built between 2005 and 2009 to the list for the same issue.
In addition, investigators are currently examining 97 complaints from Malibu and Aura owners with the same trouble. If NHTSA adds those models to the recall campaign, more than one million units could be covered. GM, meanwhile, says there have been no accidents or injuries as a result of the problem.
Chevy Corvette Stingray "colorizer" lets you chase the rainbow

While Chevrolet has yet to release the official configurator for the 2014 Corvette Stingray, it did give us something else to kill some time playing around with.
The C7 Corvette "colorizer" recently went online, and it lets you look at the car in all of its available colors and wheel options from four different angles so that when this car does go on sale, you know exactly which one you want. It includes the Corvette's full pallet of colors including Torch Red, Laguna Blue and the hue you see above, Velocity Yellow. Toss in the black wheels, and we're sold.
