1975 Chevrolet Blazer Safari Edition on 2040-cars
Elliott, Iowa, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : vernellvssowders@ukhealing.com .
This is the crème-de-le crème of Chevy Blazers. It is the most rare, full-convertible (1970-1975) Chevy Blazer
on the market. It is a true, unmolested survivor with all original parts (besides spark plugs, battery, wheels:
basically the common sense items). The Safari Edition Blazer edition was a small niche market that was targeted
for the surfer demographic and only produced in 1975, which was also the final year of the full convertible Blazer.
I will include the brochure that came with the Safari Blazer (which also verifies this isn’t some made up scam).
I bought this Blazer in California over 7 years ago. I overspent my budget that year because I had never seen a
75’ Blazer this nice. Over the last ten years I have researched very ultra-rare vehicles (I am not a dealer, it
is just my beloved hobby). In the last seven, I have found few 73-75 Blazers (I attribute it to the bad metal in
those years) and NO other Safari Editions.
This Blazer is rust free (never had any rust or body work), the engine fires up on the first turn, no blue smoke,
drives straight (no pull), all the gauges work, no electrical issues, all lights work, windshield wipers work, all
windows roll up and down smooth, the fiberglass top is in immaculate condition, all of the interior is in amazing
condition. The paint is ORIGINAL (I was told that the very bottom panels may have been repainted, but you can’t
tell…full disclosure) and is a 9 out of 10, it has the original running panels (rare), working A-track
player/AM/FM radio, CB radio, no cracks in the dash, no cracks in the windshield, AC blows cold, 4X4 engages, all
the factory lines/chrome are straight, the doors hang correctly, it shifts seamlessly, has a clean/clear title in
my name and needs absolutely no updates.

Watch this creative way to pull a truck's engine
Fri, 08 Mar 2013Living in an apartment complex has its benefits, but for shade-tree mechanics who like/need to work on their own cars, it definitely has a number of disadvantages. Relatively simple tasks such as brake jobs and oil changes are difficult when you don't have dedicated driveway space, to say nothing of more in-depth repairs... like pulling an engine, for example.
For these types of challenges, a little ingenuity and plenty of muscle are needed to get the job done. Scroll down to watch these four men snatch the V8 out of a Chevrolet K1500 using nothing but a chain, landscape timber and good ol' fashioned brute strength. Good work, gentlemen.
Next-gen Chevy Cruze caught cruising in the cold
Wed, 13 Feb 2013Spy photographers have caught what looks like the next-generation Chevrolet Cruze out on snow patrol. The camo could be tricking our eyes, but it look like it has an even tidier, more rounded front end and even lower fenders in relation to the top of the hood. And either a chunk of camo has been wedged between the side mirrors and the doors, or the mirrors are up for revision, too.
The door handles have been moved up the side of the car, leading the way to a rear end that grows a bit in length. If the rumors are true, the coming second-generation Cruze sits on the new D2XX platform that will replace the Delta and Theta platforms at General Motors. A global architecture, the Cruze will be the first to get it, but it will underpin everything from next Chevrolet Volt to the Equinox and could be responsible for 2.5 million units by 2018. The next Cruze is expected to begin production in GM's Lordstown, Ohio plant in the third quarter of 2014.
Race Recap: 2013 Twelve Hours of Sebring, cakewalk up front, grindfest out back [w/spoilers]
Tue, 19 Mar 2013This year's 12 Hours of Sebring wasn't exactly a foregone conclusion because we're still talking about racing, and anything can happen when the speeds are as high as the adrenaline and the desire. But we're still talking about Audi bringing it's two top-spec racers - and its huge budget and its nearly neurotic attention to detail - to a race that it uses as a test bed for The 24 Hours of Le Mans and as a way to open the endurance racing season with a victory.
Besides, 12 hours is a long time, especially at Sebring, and things didn't go all Audi's way. On top of that, although it was a pretty quiet race, behind the Audis things got even grimier, with plenty of battles, plenty of mechanical issues, and the new BMW Z4 GTE and Viper GTS-R being race tested. Oh, and that brand new chromed-out DeltaWing...
