Car has many dents and scratches on sides and roof. All broken glass was professionally replaced. Most of the damage is cosmetic, however, the driver side back door has small leak when it rains hard. There are also a handful of other quirks the vehicle has since the accident, none of which affect the practical driving of the car. There is a very small amount of surface rust that has begun to form in some of the places the big scratches were painted over."

2008 5-speed manual transmission Chevy Aveo with 94k miles, drives good, 35 MPG.  I have owned this car since 2010 after buying it from a friend.  In May 2012 my wife took a turn to fast on a gravel road and rolled the car into a field.  All things considered the car is in great shape have rolled 3/4 of the way over.  The rear window and small side window broke and were professionally replaced.  We did not have full coverage so we got it running and have driven it all over the east coast and as a daily commuting car with no problems.  Most of the damage remaining is cosmetic, however the driver side rear door has a small leak when it rains hard, the passenger side fender cover is missing and while all the doors work easily the rear doors don't operate perfectly smoothly.  The side mirrors were reattached and while both of them are still totally adjustable they no longer fold in.  Also, the hatch door handle has to be pushed back into position after opening the hatch (the handle won't spring back into position without help).

This is a great deal for someone looking to get a dependable fuel efficient car.  The car is not very old, and has virtually no rust (I've had it hot oiled) and is in good running condition having been well maintained, including have the timing belt changed at 60,000 miles.  The only reason we are selling it is because we are moving to Missouri and don't need 2 cars out there.  From a practical point of view whoever gets this car will be getting a really good deal.

The car has a 1-1/4 inch hitch installed and has 2 tongues (no ball).  The car used to have a tray that attached to the hitch for extra cargo but that was sold separately, you could get another one.  It has 1 good tire, 2 fair tires and 1 tire that is ready to be replaced, I'll include a tire, not on the rim with the car that is in good condition.

I have the title in hand and am happy to answer any questions about the car or the accident, I'm a minister and definitely not trying to hide anything or advertise this for something it's not.  Feel free to call, txt or e-mail.  The car is in Fremont Ohio where we are moving from.

GM recalling over 40,000 Chevy, Pontiac and Saturn models over fuel pump woes

Mon, 01 Oct 2012

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.
While the list of affected cars and crossovers varies by state and model year, if you own any of these models and live in Arizona, California, Florida, Nevada, Oklahoma or Texas, be sure to check the official notice below for more details.

Hot Wheels' Twitter-enabled vending machine coughs up free Camaro diecasts

Wed, 27 Feb 2013

There are still plenty of companies that haven't gotten the whole social media thing down pat yet, but Hot Wheels isn't one of them. During the recent Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, Hot Wheels created a lot of buzz for itself by using a vending machine filled with Chevrolet Camaro models, but instead of money to get the cars, show attendees just had to use Twitter.
To get the free car, people were asked to send a tweet to Hot Wheels Canada saying what they liked about the new Hot Wheels Edition Camaro, and including the #ChevyCIAS hashtag. This seemed to be a popular marketing tool, too, as AdWeek reports that the @HotWheelsCanada account more than tripled in followers during the course of the 10-day show. Looking ahead, this could open up even more innovative marketing possibilities using social media.
Check out the video posted below to watch how it works, and while the auto show has ended and the free-car giveaway has too, we're almost certain that some of the 1,500 freebies will make their way onto eBay.

2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible gives us a couple of looks

Sat, 02 Mar 2013

Put away your pixel paintbrushes, kids. Pack up your Photoshop. This is the real-deal 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible in its first official images. The droptop Chevrolet will roll into the bright lights of the Palexpo exhibition at next week's Geneva Motor Show, a four-wheeled statement of intent that General Motors is serious about taking its Corvette franchise global.
Chevy isn't providing anything in the way of further details with these two shots, but we've learned at least a couple of things about the car shown here. First off, the example seen in these images is fitted with the optional Z51 Performance Package - something that isn't immediately evident because there's no sign of the coupe model's prominent ductwork on its rear haunches. In order to accommodate the power folding hard tonneau cover, the vents that feed the transmission and differential coolers have been relocated to the underside of the car. The dark paint color on this example also does a good job of muting the contrasting black front fender vents and hood opening - Z51-spec design details that have proven to be somewhat controversial.
One other thing to note: These two shots also display the Stingray wearing different alloy wheels than the split five-spoke design shown at the hardtop's Detroit Auto Show unveiling in January. The simpler, thin five-spoke wheels should do a good job of showing off the Z51's upgraded brakes, and they'll be optional on the coupe as well.
