FOR SALE is my beautiful 1964 Falcon…

Since I retired a little over 10 years ago, I started building and collecting cars. My wife and I agreed that I could not have over 5 cars at any one time. A few years ago, MOM passed (the car nut) and I inherited her 1965 Fairlane 500. She put over 600K miles on it and I replaced the motor three different times until it finally rolled over and died 12 years ago. I spent the last three years completely rebuilding it. Soooo now I have 6 and one has to go…

I purchased the Falcon five years ago from a Ford mechanic who had just built the 302 motor, stroked it to 347 CI and added a single stage Nitrous (100 hp) and was hard up for cash. I wanted a little more rump so I changed the cam to a 280 Comp cam with .512 lift, & 1.6 roller rockers (find something to hold onto). Installed a new Mallory 6AL Ignition Box and Distributor. Installed new Aluminum Radiator with chrome fan shroud. The trans is a built C-4 with B & M shifter. Rear end is 9” posi with 3.50 gears. New 2 1/2 ” exhaust from the headers, all the way thru the Delta 40 Flowmasters to the stainless duel tips. I installed Disc-brakes on front and a Honda Civic Master and Booster (they work great). The body was stripped down to bare metal, filled and block-sanded 4 times. The body is straight straight. From the top of the side body flair up, is painted medium gray metallic. The lower parts are painted the brightest PPG metallic silver they make. All aluminum and stainless was polished and all chrome re-done. New wheels and tires, 195-45-15’s in front and 225-45-17’s in the rear.

I wanted the front to sit a little lower so I did the SHELBY DROP. That’s relocating the top A-Arms down 2” and back 1/4 ”. That lowers the front about 1 1/2 ” and keeps the front wheels flat on the ground when turning. Big improvement…

All new two tone tweed interior (front seats from a Mitsubishi) new carpet and headliner. New windshield. New handles, in and out. New custom dash with VDO Millennium Gauges (White face during the day and turn to Black face at night with Red back-lit, Cool). New Sony Stereo CD and Sony speakers front and rear. Battery re-located to trunk with remote OFF switch.

There are tons of stuff I have forgotten, but covered most.

I have driven this car less than 750 miles since completed. I have over 36K invested, but promises must be kept.

I will be pleased to answer any and all questions…
