2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS

2001 Isuzu VehiCROSS

$8,000 OBO

Regrettably, I am letting go of one of my VehiCROSSes. Simply put, I have too many cars, and have to let this one go. Just over 115,000 miles. If you know this vehicle then you know just how rare it is. These are awesome offroad, and a blast to drive with the 3.5L V6. I can't take it anywhere without getting asked about it constantly! I am the second owner of this VX, and I have owned it since May of 2006.

-----------------------------------------------PLEASE READ!----------------------------------------------

I have thorough maintenance logs and a massive stack of receipts dating back to May of 2006 @ 25,795 miles, all of which will be handed over to the new owner. I kept everything. The timing belt/water pump maintenance was done at 87,280 miles with all OEM Isuzu parts. All fluid changes have been done at recommended intervals using high quality fluids (Mobile-1, Lucas Oil, etc). The transmission shifts smooth, and has had the fluid changed at all regular inverals using Mobile-1 ATF. The last change of the transmission fluid was at 104,950 miles. I have installed a full size, aftermarket "hidden" hitch which is no longer being made. A new Magnaflow high flow cat and a new Magnaflow muffler was installed at 99,860 miles. At the same time a new exhaust flex pipe was installed.

The interior is very clean, and has never been smoked in. The seats are all in nice condition, with the driver's seat only showing minimal wear. The leather on the steering wheel is also nice, and shows minimal wear. All interior leather has been regularly cleaned and treated with high quality leather care products. The stock tape deck has been swapped out for a nice Pioneer head unit. Also installed is a Lobstermount cradle for your cell phone or MP3 player. The floor mats are original and clean. The air conditioning works and blows cold.

The engine runs strong and does not make any abnormal noises. It has never failed Washoe County smog, and just passed again last month. It always starts up with the first turn of the key. I have three factory keys and two factory key fobs. The front axles were maintenanced with new CV boots, new grease, seals and a bearing repack at 105,221 miles. The vehicle does not leak any fluids. The VX is currently sporting newer 31" Yokohama Geolander AT/S tires on Isuzu "Snowflake" wheels. The tires have somewhere around 5,000 miles on them with plenty of tread left. The wheel and tire combo came off an Isuzu Trooper I recently purchased. Also included is a full size spare (in addition to stock donut spare). This vehicle has been garage kept in sunny Reno, NV for most of it's life, and is devoid of any rust, other than normal scale and undercarriage discoloration (see photo below).

I have a clean, clear NV title in hand, the original window sticker and owners manual.

Concerning what needs attention, should the new owner be so inclined: This VX has been my daily driver, so it has it's fair share of dings, chips and scratches from years of enjoyment, the worst of which is a small dent on the tailgate just above half-moon cladding (see photo below). As you can see from the photos, it cleans up very nice. The hood insert is faded and beginning to show a crack where they all do (see photo below). On the inside, a few of the panels have some scratches from carrying cargo, the worst of which is a mark on the passenger door (see photo below). The ABS system went out a long time ago, and I never got it fixed, mostly because I do not like ABS and I prefer solid braking when off the pavement. This does not affect driveability but may be a concern for some. This vehicle comes equipped with Isuzus proprietary TOD (Torque on Demand) All-wheel-drive system which is currently showing a fault and needs attention. This is likely do to a disconnected or faulty sensor on top of the transfer case. I have yet to fix it, and while it does not affect driveability, I want the future owner to know, the part needed is about $150 if it needs to be replaced. The power windows work fine, but are starting to lean forward a little. The windows are tinted, and a couple of them have scratches that would require retinting if you wanted.

I currently own five Isuzus, including this VX, and I am well versed in the maintenance and quirks of these soon to be classic collector vehicles, so if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. I highly recommend a personal viewing if possible, and I can furnish any additional info or pics upon request.

I will assist with shipping, by dropping the vehicle off at the nearest shipping depot. I can also pick you up at the Reno International Airport if you wanted to fly in and drive it home.

A non-refundable, $500 deposit via paypal is due within 48 hours of the auction's closing. The remaining balance must be paid in full via cash or a cashiers check. No exceptions. The vehicle will be sold as is, where is, with a clean Nevada title, in my name, and a Bill of Sale. I reserve the right to end the auction and sell locally. Thanks for looking!
