Up for sale we have a 1966 Chevy Chevelle SS. This is a true Super Sport Chevelle with the 138 vin and has resided in the south for its’ entire life. It’s a rock solid car with all original sheet metal and only one repaint that we know of. It’s done in a beautiful Red on Red color scheme and drives out A1. In the paragraphs to follow we will give you a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. When you walk around it you will see a laser straight body with good lines. The fit and finish of the panels is great and all the gaps are good. Everything is covered in the Regal Paint that looks fresh and has been buffed and polished to a mirror finish and is accented by the Satin Black between the tail lights. Also the bumpers appear new as well as other chrome. As you can see it all has the correct bumper guards. All the glass looks correct and is in good shape. At the time of the repaint they installed new weather stripping as and new window fuzzes. As for the stainless window trim it is good as well as the grill. The final exterior touch is the 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels and a new set of tires.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Super Sport. As we said earlier it is all done red and provides a killer complement to the exterior scheme with all the red metal matching beautifully and flows the two together perfectly. It has the correct bucket seats with console and shifter. The interior of this Chevelle looks new form the carpet to the headliner. When looking at the dash it’s all correct with only a radio upgrade and a set of under dash gauges. It retrains the correct steering wheel and column with even the horn still working.

Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s powered by a 396 V8 that codes to a ’68 model. It’s mated to a Muncie 4 Speed Trans and a 12 Bolt Rear End. When the engine was rebuilt they added an aftermarket Cam and dressed it with a correct set of Chrome Valve Covers and breather. Also they added a set of Big Tube Headers and Flow Master Mufflers to give it the sound we love. To finish of the driveability of the Chevelle it comes with Power Steering and upgraded Four Wheel Power Disc Brakes. When you look at the bottom it’s all factory pans that are in great shape with no visible signs of damage with the frame also appearing solid.
