This is one of the best Mercedes I have ever owned and I've had many. I've actually owned this car twice since 2009. The only problem I have is letting it go. Every time I drive it I'm so impressed at how well it handles, how smooth and quiet it is. But as a dealer you have to keep moving on. In the past year it has reveived a fresh synthetic oil service, transmission service and the front brake pads were replaced in the last 100 miles. The Interstate battery is less than a year old. The CARFAX report for this car is clean, no accidents, no odometer discrepancy, no problems.
The paint is in excellent condition and is mostly original. The left rear quarter was painted many years ago and the left door was done last year and blended into the fender. The results are excellent with a very good paint match and texture. The car was just detailed at "Gloss-It" of Las Vegas. They are one of the premier detail business in the country and have their own line of super high end products sold worldwide. When they were done with the car it looked and still does look like new.
The interior is in excellent condition with the original blue leather showing some mild patina on the front seats and the rear showning very little use at all. The carpets are in great original shape having had mats on them since new. The dash has a plastic cap over the original due to cracks. This is common with Mercedes of this vintage hence the availabity of a simple solution. The wood is in very good condition with just some cracking at the shifter. The trunk has the original carpet mat in excellent condition and the car has its original jack and tool kit. The radio has been changed to a Sony CD with remote control. The original book set comes with the car including Owner's Manual, Maintenance Booklet, Service and Warranty Booklet and even the retail dash hangers for operation of the Cruise Control and Climate Control.
A word about the headlights. A few years ago I was driving on the interstate and a three foot piece of pipe fell off of a truck. It speared the left headlamp and when I got home I was telling my wife how pissed I was and she said your really lucky if it had hit 6 inches higher it would have gone through the windshield and probably my head. She always finds the bright side. Anyhow the only lamp I could find at the time was a euro style and it has been there ever since. I now have the correct light and wiper and the are included and can be installed if you wish.
This has been a California and Nevada car all its life except 10 months with me last year in Utah and no I didn't drive it in the snow. We have a granddaughter now and use four door cars. I can't see letting this sit and not be enjoyed so I'm letting go.
The SEC is very sound and a great driver. We are located in Las Vegas and wherever you are you could pick it up and drive it home.
