Finished in a beautiful two-tone color of Light Ivory with Topaz Brown which makes a very elegant combination this 1 owner 1977 Mercedes 450SL has only 68K lightly driven, maintained, and garage kept miles. That is an average of less then 2000 miles driven per year. We have included in this listing a picture of the Florida Title showing that the mileage is true and accurate.
This SL feels powerful with its 4.5-liter V8 engine capable of 225 horsepower and complimented to a 3 speed automatic transmission that truly brings this German power-plant to life.
The factory original paint is in great overall condition for a 36 year old vehicle. The only cosmetic flaw to mention on the exterior body is a dime-sized rust spot on the passenger’s front fender. The undercarriage is in excellent condition with no rust. The original Brown convertible soft top is torn but you can find on eBay a replacement canvas made with original factory material for $323 including shipping.
On the interior the original vinyl seats are worn out however Mercedes seats covers replacements are available also on eBay for around $365. The original carpet is clean and in good condition. The door panels as well as the hardtop headliner are in excellent condition. There are no cracks on the dash
As far as the electronics, EVERYTHING IS IN WORKING ORDER!! The Power Windows, Power Antenna, Becker Radio works as they should. the A/C blows Cold.
When we got this car we took it to our local European repair shop and the following maintenance work was done:

Replaced Tie Rod Assembly
Replaced Shifter Bushings
Replaced Fuel Filter
Replaced Left Window Regulator
Replaced A/C Drier
Replaced A/C Temp Switch
Replaced A/C Pressure Switch

All in, this was about $1350 worth of work and the car runs good! We have driven this vehicle close to 50 miles and can tell you that the engine runs strong, transmission shifts good and it drives great! It handles tight and has plenty of power throughout the gears at surface street speeds and on up to 75mph highway speeds.
The 4 Michelin Tires have 75% tread left. This 450SL will come with One (1) Key and Original Owners Manuals.

South Florida Autohaus charges a Dealer Processing Fee in the amount of $249 per each vehicle purchase transaction. This charge is to cover expenses such as temporary tags, professional detailing, mechanical inspection and overnight mailing and handling of documents related to sale. Florida law statutes mandate that any such fee must be disclosed and included in the final sale price without discrimination therefore please do not ask us to waive that fee because we cannot. With online auctions the final price is not known in advance, so please note that the amount of $249.00 will be added to the closing or agreed amount of purchase so that the final price will include the fee and such will be reflected on the bill of sale. A Buy-It-Now price on ebay does not include the $249.00 dealer processing fee.
- This vehicle is also being offered for sale outside of eBay and should a sale agreement be made we reserve the right to cancel all bids and end an auction early at any time should the vehicle no longer be available for sale.
- Buyer must provide a copy of their State issued valid Driver License at the time initial deposit is sent. Furthermore, before said vehicle is released for shipment to Buyer, all other Sale related and title related paperwork must be signed and returned complete to Seller.

Deposit
Buyer agrees to send a $500 Non-Refundable deposit through PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction. Please call the dealership to make arrangements for payment.
Payment of Balance Due
Buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due including applicable fees and taxes within 7 calendar days of the end of auction. If the deposit is not received within 24 hours of close of auction or if the balance has not been paid in full within 7 days following the close of auction, or alternate payment arrangements has not been made, the vehicle will be re-listed or made available to other potential buyers on a first-come, first-serve basis.All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Customers with zero or negative feedback on eBay Motors please contact us prior to bidding. Otherwise, we reserve the right to cancel your bid. Understand this is only to protect the integrity of the auction. Winning bidder must contact the dealership within 24 hours of the auction close and the purchase transaction completed within 7 calendar days. Buyer Pickup
A representative from our dealership can be available for pickup at Fort Lauderdale Airport or Miami International airport when necessary. Buyers must schedule pickup prior to making travel arrangements.
Inspection
Buyers are more than welcome to inspect vehicle in person. Personal inspection and/or third-party inspection is highly recommended to avoid any misunderstandings. Buyer is responsible for payment of the inspection. No inspections will be allowed after end of the auction. Please do not assume anything and do ask any questions you might have in regard of this car, as well as ask for any additional photos that would be of special interest for you. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, asked any and as much questions they might have about the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value of the vehicle and to bid based upon that judgment solely. Therefore, any claims or disputes as a result of or relate to failure to disclose or misrepresentation are hereby waived by you.
Shipping
All shipping charges are the "Buyer's" responsibility. We are happy to assist in arranging shipping as a value added service only. We will help with the shipping arrangements but we will not be held responsible in any way for claims arising from shipping damage.Vehicle must be picked up within 10 calendar days of the end of auction. All vehicles that are not picked up within this time frame will be subject to storage fees in the amount of $25/day.
Vehicle Titles
We do not always have titles on hand for vehicles that are placed for sale. Titles may be in transit from banks, from other dealerships, from the state, and a host of other reasons for normal processing delays in title paperwork. We are a licensed and bonded dealer and guarantee clear and free of liens titles on all vehicles that we sell. We guarantee to supply the title for the vehicle within 30 days of the close of sale. If you need the title faster than that please contact us prior to completing the sale.
Third-Party Financing as Method of Payment
When seeking pre-approval for an auto loan please remember that most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 7 years or with more than 100,000 miles. Make sure, then, if financing, that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of the vehicle before bidding. Again, please arrange financing before bidding. If you win an auction you herein agree to subject yourselves to these terms and, therefore, if you cannot arrange financing your deposit will be held by South Florida Autohaus.
