1982 Chrysler Imperial Fuel Injection Look

1982 Chrysler Imperial Fuel Injection Look

I located this car because I had intended on painting it black to be a companion to my white Imperial. I flew one way to Arkansas in the Little Rock area, inspected the car, and drive it home without incident. Surprisingly the carburetor conversion makes this very pleasant to drive and has more power than the factory dealer carburetor conversion. The engine bay was always this nice, I had to do very little cosmetically to make this car turn out the way it did. This was a one owner vehicle that was always garage kept, even the package shelf fur like material is still a deep, dark red.  This 1982 Imperial was never converted by the dealer to carburetor. It was converted by the owner’s son and now runs on a small holley 4 BBL. It has the look of the original fuel injection and runs well. The chrome is exemplary (Pictured) and the paint is original. You can tell because the nose doesn’t match and when you wax it, it gets a little bit closer but this is how all the original paint cars were when metallic paint was applied. The seats are excellent, carpeting and glass is excellent, and it’s just a great ready for show driver. The wheels I am particularly proud of, they were stripped, powder coated gray, the high points recut on a lathe, and then powder coated clear – so they are perfectly restored and more durable than factory. A/C, brakes, all the power accessories, and work faultlessly.

What’s wrong with the car: Missing front license plate bracket (pictured) small dent in left quarter (pictured – may pop out, I am going to try and pop it out). Fuel data computer does not work because of carburetor conversion (non factory).

Who am I? My name is Dave. I have been restoring cars for 35 years. My first collector car was when I was 15 years old. I've had three major collections and now it's time to sell my last one. My personal taste run to the eclectic.

I have picked out or restored these vehicles to be some of the finest in the world of these types.

I was a Dodge dealer for 27 years, selling 1600 to 2000 cars a year - that was my business.

These cars are my passion.
