1969 Plymouth GTX

History

The Plymouth GTX was introduced as the Belvedere GTX in 1967 bythe Plymouthdivision to be a "gentleman's" muscle car.

In 1968, after one year of production, the GTX was given acompletely new look. A new hourglass body replaced the more box-like body of1967. In 1969 The GTX received minor cosmetic changes, as well as theintroduction of the optional Air Grabber hood, which made the hood scoopsfunctional. The 1969 GTX was the last year that the convertible model wasavailable on the GTX (VIN RS27). The 1969 GTX also had standard black lowerbody side paint, replacing the dual, horizontal "racing" stripe onthe lower sides of the 1968 model.

This beautiful numbers matching GTX came to us out of West Virginia. Theprevious owner purchased the car in 2013. The full rotisserie restoration wasdone in 2001-2001. There are roughly 50,000 miles on the build. A full photoalbum documenting the restoration is included in the sale.
