GREAT LAKESCLASSIC CARS

PROUDLY INTRODUCES THIS GORGEOUS

1957 FORD T-BIRD ROADSTER

'Full, and I mean Complete, 100%, like all of it, rebuilt, restored, nut & bolt, frame off, stripped then put back together, everything NEW!

Get the Picture?

This Amazing Restoration project took over 9 years to complete, as per documentation provided and included with vehicle.

What started clearly as a labor of love and passion for this iconic classic american car tagged as "America's Personal Luxury Car" reveals itself today as a masterpiece of detail, quality, and styling.

Documents track the T-Bird as follows.

  • Born 6th day of October 1956 and invoiced to dealer on October 8th 1956 at 10:57pm.
  • From its birthplace of Deerborne MI it was then transported via railcar to dealer #71A003 King Motor Company in Huntington Park California.
  • Purchased NEW, {Lady Owned}, rarely driven but regularly maintained and continued residence in Sunny Lakewood California.
  • Acquired in July of 1983 with 4723 miles by the family whom led by Grandpa in Sept. 1984 began the process of restoring the beautiful Bird and making it New Again.  Per our records, the T-Bird was not "Completed" until late 1993 with 5974 miles.
  • We have on hand many pictures of the restoration historical process that will go with the vehicle to its new home.
  • The T-Bird was then acquired in the 2000s by another very reputable classic car dealer Valenti Classics out of Wisconsin and put up for their showcase sale and sold to a local collector here in Rochester NY.
  • This local Collector acquired it on June 1st of 2006 with 9628 miles, parked it, kept it in heated garage, and decided to thin out his collection.
  • 2014, now offered for sale by Great Lakes Classic Cars of Rochester, NY showing 9629 miles on odometer.

Documentation on hand is

  • Original Manufacturer's dealer's invoice showing options, cost, and MSRP of $3,485.71
  • Original Owner's California Registration
  • Picture Album of restoration process
  • miscellaneous receipts with dates from 04/26/1962
  • Copy of sale papers from Valenti Classics to Local Collector.

Here's our interpretation of this Fabulous T-Bird

Though this is a beautiful T-Bird, keep in mind that it is 58 yrs old and unless we were there from day one with this car we can not verify it's day to day history or mileage accuracy.  We go by what we see and can document.  That is the case with most classic cars anywhere.

In our Opinion this is collector's or enthusiasts must have with a great story and pedigree.

Born Inca Gold in color with a Black & White Interior during restoration changed to the gorgeous Torch Red you see today.  Interior changed to all Ivory White (pearl).  This car was originally optioned with both the soft and factory hard top as it still has today. The soft top is Black and located behind seat folded in top frame where it belongs when stowed away.

Everything on this car has either been rebuilt or replaced with correct NEW part.

The 312ci V8 Thunderbird Engine produces 245HP and it is exactly like it was when new.  Underhood is a sight of awe, hose clamps, inspection stamps, wiring, etc... Just like it rolled off the assembly line.  All the factory gauges work beautifully and like stated NEW!  Interior panels and seat have a superb finish with lots of quality and attention to detail.

My favorite part of this beauty is the undercarriage,  it looks better than new.  Take notice of all the pictures, tough to find any flaws!

The original wheels and covers are wrapped in vintage ply-bias gangster huge white walls and it looks great.

The chrome and stainless again in exceptional condition with the exhaust also Ford (Fomoco) correctly routed exiting through the rear bumper openings.

When you do things right you only have to do it once and it's evident in every aspect of this car.  Obviously based on age of restoration the paint does show some webbing and there's a paint chip above the driver's side headlight. It is still by all means a Show & Museum Quality T-Bird.
