2010 Volvo Xc60 on 2040-cars
Jackson, Mississippi, United States
If you are looking for a sweet SUV with an MSRP of over $40K this is the one for you. I have it priced under book value and am open to offers. I am the second owner and have every maintenance record for this vehicle. I purchased it CPO and it does have a transferable warranty through Volvo that is still good for a few years. It has almost every option that it had available at the time including: Climate Package (heated front/rear seats), Technology Package (collision warning with auto brake (CWAB), distance alert (DA), driver alert control (DAC), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC),Lane Departure Warning (LDW)) and the Multimedia package with Navigation and premium audio. Also added on were the adaptive BiXenon headlights and BLIS (blindspot notification). I know of no safer car to drive...it literally stops itself if you cannot. It is an excellent SUV and we are sad to see it go but we needed a third row for the family. Full carfax available upon request.

Polestar says goodbye to Volvo C30 in video tribute
Tue, 12 Mar 2013The Volvo C30 was put to its eternal bed a few months ago, but the tuners at Polestar have a little more eulogizing to do. The Swedish house of speed that has raced and reworked the little hatch since its introduction in 2006 wants the world to know what they've been through together, so it has encapsulated seven years of around-the-world action into three minutes and 28 seconds of track footage and champagne.
We're still waiting on word of a replacement for the funny little hatch, and while we lament what could have been, the video below proves that the C30 provided plenty of thrills for those outside of the US. And as you can read in our recent review of the Polestar-enhanced road-going C30, it provided a decent amount of fun for those of us in the States, as well.
See Volvo's integration of Apple CarPlay in action
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Apple unveiled its new CarPlay touchscreen infotainment system earlier today, and Volvo has just released a video showing the system in action. The Cupertino tech giant is expected to announce partnerships with Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz to license CarPlay, as well, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and will be working with even more manufacturers in the future.
The system pairs the driver's iPhone with the car's infotainment system and seamlessly allows them use the smart phone's functions and, at least in Volvo's demonstration, the car's climate control and seat heating systems. According to the video, the new system will be available "in the coming generation Volvo cars," which likely means the upcoming, next-generation Volvo XC90.
However, the system will not work universally. Apple will add functionality through an update to iOS 7 in the future for the iPhone 5, 5C and 5S. At launch other devices won't be supported. Scroll down to watch CarPlay work. We are expecting more details to emerge on the new infotainment system when the Swiss show opens tomorrow.
Volvo and Ericsson to take Spotify on the road
Thu, 27 Dec 2012Volvo is working to bring Spotify to its vehicles. Ericsson has announced it will provide its Connected Vehicle Cloud service to Volvo for future products, and Spotify streaming music is part of that service. Like Toyota Entune and other infotainment services, the Connected Vehicle Cloud will use the driver's smartphone as a modem to stream music and serve as a base for other applications, all of which will be controllable through the vehicle interface. Expect to see the service launch in 2014, though Ericsson stresses later generations will feature an embedded modem with its own SIM card that will piggyback off of the owner's phone data plan.
But that system won't show up in production vehicles until at least 2016. In the interim, Ericsson says it will continue to work with government agencies on its car-to-car communication efforts. That program could eventually help pave the way toward autonomous road trains capable of helping vehicles travel safely together while also reducing traffic congestion. Wired has a full break down of the Connected Vehicle Cloud strategy. You can read it here.
