Nice used Volvo S40 Turbo.

If you are looking for a cosmetically perfect used car, it has some pealing paint

but it is mechanically sound and driven all the time..

Reserve is way lower than average and lower than blue book at good condition.

It has had only minor issues as every older used car does, but it has never failed - to start or to drive safely and comfortably anywhere and is so sturdy and handled great in the snow this winter.

It has one small dent in trunk as seen in pics; hood could use another coat of clear coat to make it almost new if you'd want to go that far ...

We have put used replacement struts on it, new battery and newer front tires..

The car runs and drives nice and the transmission shifts as it should.

We have had no major issues or problems with the car since owning it since early in the year..

It does have a check engine light (almost all used Volvos have a check engine light on it seems from what I've read online)on but it runs and drives with no problems. My mechanic said it was the sensor going and not the mechanics of the car.

Volvo S40 was rated 7.5-7.7 by many ..it has some great reviews on Emunds, MSN autos and other sites- Google the S40

Title is free and clear.

Volvo recommits to Sweden with development of next-gen platform and engines

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

Taking into account the facts that Volvo is now owned by China's Geely and how poorly the European automotive market has been recently, we would have definitely understood if Volvo moved production of its products out of its home market. And yet, the automaker has confirmed that it will be investing billions of dollars into new platforms and engines that will be made in Sweden. On a global scale, Volvo is making roughly $11 billion of investments, and close to half of that is being earmarked for Sweden for plant expansion and upgrades.
The new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform will be the used as the basis for most future Volvo products starting with the next-generation XC90 that will be debuting at the end of 2014. SPA will be used to make up two-thirds of Volvo's sales, and gives Volvo a quicker and easier break from Ford-derived platforms. As for the Volvo Engine Architecture (VEA) family of engines, there are really no details about this mill except that it will be a four-cylinder that is more fuel efficient than current engines.

Volvo calls in S60 T5 over oil pressure indicator

Mon, 30 Dec 2013

As anyone with a driver's license should be able to tell you, the oil pressure indicator on a car is a vital feature. If you don't have enough oil pressure, your engine could seize up, leaving you stranded and causing catastrophic damage for both your automobile and your wallet. Worryingly, then, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says that the oil pressure indicator lamp on certain Volvo S60 models is prone to failure, prompting the manufacturer to issue a recall.
The issue pertains to MY2011-2012 Volvo S60s with turbocharged five-cylinder engines manufactured between June 22, 2010 and May 14, 2012. All told, precisely 30,929 units are affected by the recall campaign. The owners of affected models will be notified by Volvo to bring in their cars to their local dealer for a software update. See the official notice below for details.

First production Volvo S60 Polestar shown off

Thu, 18 Apr 2013

With the Volvo S60 Polestar going on sale in Australia this June, Volvo has finally released images and specs for the production version of the performance sedan. While no official build number has been announced, one image of the car's steering wheel shows a serial number plaque that says "No. 000/100" indicating that production will likely be limited to just 100 units in Australia. The press release states that the Australia run of Polestar-tuned S60s is a "pilot project" and that other potential markets are "under investigation."
Although it looks very similar to the S60 Polestar Concept we first saw at the LA Auto Show last year, the production version of the car sports a few changes. Visually, the front and rear fascias have been slightly modified from the concept car, as have the matte-black wheels. Inside, we see a different steering wheel that adds the aforementioned build sequence plaque but loses the suede leather accents, and there is also a sportier looking shift lever with a chrome handle that features a Polestar logo.
As for performance figures, rather than the 508-horsepower of the S60 Polestar Concept, the production version will be limited to 350 hp and more than 368 pound-feet of torque, which is still an improvement of about 25 hp and at least 14 lb-ft over a 2013 S60 R-Design. Polestar also tuned the six-speed automatic transmission and Haldex all-wheel-drive system for optimal performance leading to a top speed of 155 miles per hour and a 0-62 mph time of 4.9 seconds. The production S60 Polestar will still get suspension, brake and aerodynamic upgrades.
