Great Forest Green Volvo S70 Glt Sedan (4-door, 2.4l Engine) on 2040-cars
Alameda, California, United States
We've bought a smaller car and are ready to downsize and let this one go. It's a great car, Volvo quality, extremely reliable, will always get you there in style and safety. Comfortable, roomy, and spacious. Loaded with features, including sunroof, airbags, power locks, windows, and seats, leather upholstery, etc.
Car is in good condition and runs great. Mostly highway miles. Never been in an accident. Third owner, but we’ve known all the owners, and it’s been kept in the family. All non-smoker owners. Heat and air conditioning work great. Exterior looks good, a few small dings. One patch of paint discoloration on trunk. Also, discolored scratches on left front bumper. Interior is clean. Leather upholstery is in good condition in rear seats. Front seats have small tears. Seat cover is on driver’s seat. Well maintained and serviced. Oil change and passed smog two weeks ago. Mechanic is highly positive about the car. ABS braking system hasn’t worked for years, but he says it’s a non-issue, other than causing the “check engine” light to illuminate. Clear CarFax history. Never been in an accident. Clean title, current registration, new tags good through 04/15. Well maintained tires and battery. A great bargain at $3000. Call or email. Tony and Pamela. 415-647-8587. Volvo to complete concept car trilogy in Geneva
Tue, 11 Feb 2014Volvo went through some doldrums around the same time it was bought by Geely, but it proved that it was back when it unveiled the P1800-inpsired Concept Coupe last August at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It followed up with the sleek Concept XC Coupe crossover (pictured above) in Detroit that echoed the next-generation XC90. Now, the Swede is readying one more concept to bring the trilogy to an end, and act as the centerpiece of its display at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
There are no images of the new concept yet, not even a teaser, but Volvo says that like the other two, it's designed by Thomas Ingenlath and shares common design elements. Since it has already imagined a future coupe and crossover, maybe the concept is a sedan. Volvo has confirmed that it rides on the modular Scalable Product Architecture platform that is being used on multiple future production models and uses its new Drive-E four-cylinder engine family.
The Concept Coupe and Concept XC Coupe will be on display with the new concept in Geneva so that visitors can get a complete idea of Volvo's future. Hopefully, the company has finally righted the course and is ready to compete on the world stage again. Scroll down to read Volvo's few details about the new concept.
Volvo teases mysterious new small crossover
Thu, 16 May 2013The image you see above is just about all we know of the new Volvo crossover that will be revealed at 8:30 pm Central European Time on May 17 (2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time). Volvo released three very short video teasers, all with the tagline "Leave The World Behind," all of which feature a member of the now-defunct band Swedish House Mafia - Axwell sits in a boat in the first, Sebastian Ingrosso walks toward cabin in the second and Steve Angello stares at the sea in a third.
A microsite, www.leavetheworldbehind.com, accompanies the teasers and it's been said that a short film by Lune will feature the band - Swedish Mafia had a hit in 2009 with the song Leave the World Behind. As for the vehicle, theories are that it could be something between the V40 Cross Country and XC60, the new XC90 or something else entirely. We don't have long to wait, and you can watch both teasers below.
Watch this video, then buy this 1993 Volvo wagon
Mon, 12 May 2014Do you want to be perceived as rich and cuddly? Of course you do. Then you need to buy this car.
We know it makes no sense, but that pretty much sums up our take on the video you'll see below, in which a man by the name of Christoffer Castor, from Scania County in Southern Sweden, attempts to convince any and all who watch to buy his car. The car in question is a 1993 Volvo 240 wagon, in red with a black fabric interior.
We have quite a bit of respect for the old boxy Volvo wagons here at Autoblog, and, despite the presence of some unsightly rust on the tailgate, would gladly bum about in this particular 240. We especially appreciate the five-speed manual gearbox and that it's from the car's final year in production.
