For sale is a 1997 Volvo 850R in white with a tan interior. Feel free to check the KBB for this car, it's higher than you probably think...I took some off the price to pay for any repairs it may need when purchased.
5 Cylinder Turbocharged 2.3L Engine. Stock Turbo, DP, and Exhaust.
This is a very neatly kept car for a 1997 and everyone who has seen it has raved about how nice the interior is for the year. I almost want to take the seats for my new car. It has approximately ~120,000 miles on the odometer which stopped sometime between when it stopped being driven and now.
It is in a very rare condition for the car, was babied and kept neat for the time that I owned it. It is quite the quick and fun vehicle and I am extremely sad to have to sell it, but it is time.
The Good:
-Mechanically Sound Engine + Turbo
-Low Mileage for the Year
-2 Owner car. I bought it at 104,000 to give you an idea of how much I actually drove it.
-FULL maintenance logs and receipts from the time I owned it, previous owner also kept logs of maintenance, but I do not have the receipts from those. (This is arranged neatly in a binder for the next owner of the car.)
-New silicon hoses as the old black OEM ones were a little on the rough side, should last a very long time.
-Maintenance work done when I first got the car at 104,000 to get it in the absolute best shape it could be in.
-Stock Premium Audio System that sounds better than my 2013 car does.
-Sunroof Visor
-Brand new spark plugs, spark plug wires, dist. cap, and rotor.
-If bought at my "buy it now" price I will include a ST USA ECU for the car as well if you want it and also some extra Oil I had lying around for the next Oil change it needed.
The Bad:
-A/C Leak, I used to just recharge it with a can from AutoZone every so often.
-Needs some brake work, ones on it now are pretty worn.
-Currently needs a battery, the one in it is dead at the moment.
-Wheels have some scuffing and chipping in a few places.
-Some of the black lining is coming up above where the doors are, heat got to it, kept the interior extremely protected though.

Volvo working on ultra-lux four-seat XC90 for China?
Tue, 09 Sep 2014In China, it's all about being driven. That's why we've seen so many automakers stretch their most popular models to appeal to buyers in the Chinese market. Volvo is certainly no stranger to this, and according to Autocar, the company is already working on a super-lux, four-seat version of its recently launched XC90 crossover.
Volvo won't stretch the XC90 and just increase second-row legroom, however. Instead, the company will reportedly remove both the standard XC90's second and third row benches, and install a duplicate set of front seats in the rear compartment, featuring the same electric adjustment features, including massage. These more luxurious thrones will be placed further back in the vehicle, allowing for "exceptional" legroom, Autocar reports, without needing to stretch the wheelbase.
Mum's the word on when we can expect to see the high-zoot Volvo arrive, though the magazine estimates that it surface later this year.
Apple announces CarPlay in-car iPhone interface
Mon, 03 Mar 2014Apple, maker of tech items like the iPhone, iPad and Mac line of computers, is extending its reach into the automotive market, making a fairly big announcement ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. No, it hasn't bought Tesla (yet). Instead, Apple has announced CarPlay, an all-new means of controlling an iPhone through your car.
Now, this doesn't strike us as some gimmicky thing. It's become increasingly common for automakers to take advantage of the high-speed data streams its customers enjoy on their smartphones in order to integrate navigation, traffic, audio and other infotainment items into a car's touchscreen interface. The Chevrolet Spark and Sonic are two prime examples of this move, using an iPhone's data stream for Siri integration and data for a third-party navigation app.
Owners will be able to plug in their iPhones to their cars via the USB port and gain control of a number of the device's functions, all through a car's touchscreen.
Volvo Concept XC Coupe is ready to hit the slopes

It doesn't matter if it's a Jurassic-era Volvo Amazon, a Saab 900 Turbo, or even a Koenigsegg Agera R. Surely it's some sort of Scandinavian birthright... right along with immaculate complexion. The latest to carry on that tradition in fine form? The Volvo Concept XC Coupe, just released at this week's Detroit Auto Show.
The two-door, four-seat XC Coupe rolled onto stage here at Cobo pre-outfitted with a matching ski box, looking sharp on its 21-inch wheels. According to Volvo, the box isn't an afterthought - in fact, the XC Coupe's design itself was "inspired by modern sports equipment."
As for the rest of the concept's genetic makeup, at this point, we don't have much to go on. Volvo has admitted that the XC Coupe rides atop its new boron-steel-intensive Scalable Product architecture, but it has declined to outline any sort of powertrain details. We're not sure if this showcar has any production future, but we do expect for its design language to inform the next-generation XC90 crossover.
