I have a volvo 850 R for your consideration. Specs as follows:
Black on black with suede inlayed seats. Good: Battery still has a lot of warranty left. 198,000 miles(going up as it is my DD),but 180+ Compression on all cylinders(Literally like new). Turbo spools good, has very little to no shaft play. INSANELY GOOD SOUNDING full 3 inch exhaust with high flow magnaflow cat and glasspack. quiet and has a nice growl when you open it up. Great tires with TONS of tread left mounted on the iconic 16" Turbo twist wheels. New o2 sensor New vacuum lines throughout entire engine bay New oil cooler lines New pads New fuel lines Fresh oil change Fresh Transmission flush. New BLUE Led Insturument cluster and dash lights New kicker 3-way speakers, Alpine 200W 4-channel amplifier and Rare audiobahn 8-inch subwoofer with 400w amp, unobtrusive but provides very rich sound. Stage 3 tuning chip all the way from Sweden. Has a torque limiter removal switch for full boost in all gears.(Looks unobtrusive) New "R" Logo installed. Also throwing in a set of high lift N/A cams(Common mod for the 850 turbo) Bad: Paint on trunk lid has oxidation. Drivers seat bolster has a small tear. The drivers side switch for rear passenger side window won't put window down, only up. Just needs the switch(2 dollars) Fuel filler door is dented. Dent on the corner by the trunk. not too bad , hardly noticeable. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this thing across the country. it is a fast little sleeper. |

Volvo XC90 First Edition sells out in 47 hours
Fri, 05 Sep 2014Two days ago, Volvo opened the order books on its completely new 2015 XC90 crossover, and just like that, all of the 1,927 First Edition models were reserved in a scant 47 hours. According to Volvo, most of the vehicles were reserved within one hour of the online ordering site launching, and at its peak, seven cars were being sold each minute.
First Edition models wear a unique Onyx Black exterior, and ride on eight-spoke, 21-inch wheels. Inside, amber nappa leather covers the seats, the dashboard is lined in charcoal leather, and there are walnut inlays throughout the cabin.
Under the hood, the XC90 First Edition can be had with either a four-cylinder Drive-E gasoline or diesel engine (if you live in markets outside the US, of course). The twin-charged T6 petrol model comes with 320 horsepower, and sends its power to the ground via all-wheel drive.
Volvo S80 nip/tuck spotted in China
Sun, 16 Dec 2012An early look at the new face of the Volvo S80 has made its way to the web. The Chinese site Auto Sina spotted a revised version of the country's S80L out in public and in plain view. Not too long ago, Doug Speck, the global head of marketing and sales for Volvo, said designers were working on a mild facelift for the S60 and S80, and while it is possible the Swedish manufacturer will roll out a different front fascia for the US market, the move seems unlikely.
The S80L seen here boats a tweaked grille and a Passat-inspired lower valance. New wheels and side-view mirrors also appear to be part of the update, as does a modified rear bumper and exhaust outlets. Volvo is set to debut the facelifed S80 next year, and while the manufacturer hasn't delivered an exact time frame, good money is on the vehicle showing up at the Detroit Auto Show in January or the Geneva Motor Show in March. Stay tuned for more information.
Apple CarPlay drawing early safety concerns [w/video]
Sun, 09 Mar 2014Apple's CarPlay infotainment system hasn't made it into a single vehicle yet, and it's already drawing criticism for distracting drivers among safety advocates. The new tech unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show pairs users' iPhones with the car's dashboard display to make calls, dictate messages and listen to music. Some automakers, like Volvo, also let users interact with the HVAC system from the screen.
"The idea that people want to be on their phones, and therefore let's give them a way to do that -- that's not putting safety first, that's putting convenience and the desire to be in touch first," said Bruce Hamilton, manager of research and communications at the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, to CNN Money.
Distracted driving is a huge concern on modern roads with more vehicles allowing drivers to use their smartphones through Bluetooth and infotainment systems. A Texas A&M study found that drivers' reaction time doubled while dictating text messages, according to CNN Money. The new tech is certainly not making drivers pay more attention.
