This is a 1992 Volvo 740 that we (Yoshifab) used to develop a LS1/Gen3 V8 conversion kit. All work was performed about a year ago and the car has only done maybe 1000~1500miles in that time.
1992 740 wagon
1999 LS1 with 101000 miles on it. Motor runs smooth and strong.

Goodyear tires have about 1000 miles (well lets say 2000 miles after the burnout pic) on them. Just have the fuzzies worn off.
Accessory belts and pullies are all about 1000 miles old
The beauty of this car is the overall condition. It is not perfect but much nicer than your average Volvo of this vintage. Paint is still in very good shape but a few shopping cart kinda dings. It has been very well maintained, all the suspension and steering is tight and the breaks work well. The car runs and drives totally normal, my wife has no issue stepping out of her new Corolla and driving this to the store. It has working ac, good road manners, and a very smooth ride. The idea is a car that drives like a normal Volvo wagon but with a lot more zip. It works quite well. The car was a diesel in a previous life and the CA title still reflects that. Shipping can be arranged but buyer will be 100% responsible for shipping costs. Last Volvo I shipped went cross country for around $800

Watch Polestar talk about the development of its super S60
Fri, 03 May 2013Polestar is getting ready to deliver its first production car, the Volvo S60 Polestar. Letting the S60 stretch its legs, Polestar Racing driver Robert Dahlgren took the blue sedan from Barcelona, Spain to Jokkmokk, Sweden - stopping for wet-weather testing in Germany along the way.
Dahlgren narrates the journey of the "pilot project" that has 350 horsepower and around 368 pound-feet of torque, and will perhaps be the first in an era of hardcore Volvo production cars. It will go on sale in Australia this Summer, with other markets "under investigation." While we non-Aussies wait with fingers crossed, there's a video below to enjoy.

With government agency pressures mounting, the auto industry's latest engine and powertrain trends invariably include the cobbling of heretofore eight-cylinder models into charged (either turbo- or super-) six-cylinder models, six-cylinders into charged four-cylinders and so on. And then there's the mating of these downsized engines to fuel-saving automatic transmissions with ratio counts previously reserved for bicycles and semi trucks. Volvo can at last follow suit with the best of Germany and Japan thanks in great part to an $11-billion multi-year investment by its Chinese owners, Geely.
After we survived the recent Frankfurt Motor Show marathon of news and reveals (chief among said bits being the stunning Volvo Concept Coupe), we were escorted by the Swedish automaker to the far less frenetic air of southern France to explore the most significant step yet in the company's new life. Volvo's entire movement of new tech is referred to as Drive-E, and it includes these all-new four-cylinder engines we just tested, a new modular architecture called Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) that will first be found under the next-generation XC90, along with a host of other onboard advancements. Think of it as a Scandinavia's version of Mazda Skyactiv, a total-systems approach to developing more efficient yet more sporting new models.
Next Polestar Volvo sounds great, whatever it is

While we'll be recovering from next week's LA Auto Show and Tokyo Motor Show (and starting to slack off ahead of an extended Thanksgiving weekend), the official tuner of Volvo products has announced plans to unveil its latest creation in less than two weeks.
Based on this video teaser, we can only imagine (and hope) that it's the souped-up Volvo V60 recently caught testing by our spy shooters. The idea of a high-performance Volvo wagon was already enough to get us giddy last month, but the exhaust note in this video is downright captivating.
