History This car was originally
bought with a blown motor. The car set inside a barn for two years before a
mechanic was hired to replace the blown motor with a motor that had 76K miles
on it. After over a year the mechanic exchanged the motors and then was incarcerated
and unable to finish the job. The only problem with the vehicle is when the
mechanic put in the new motor he unhooked the computer software and tripped a
theft code. This theft code can be reset by a dealer or by a computer. The new
motor runs for about thirty seconds and then shuts down due to the tripped
code. Extras Along with this car
comes an extra transmission, struts, and control arms. Body The body on this car is
in excellent condition. No scrapes or scratches done to the paint. No dents or
anything. All body pieces are on or in the car. The inner wheel wells are in
the back seat and the front clip is sitting on top of the car. Tires The tires on the car
are essentially new. Have never been drove on and have only been sitting on a
concrete floor. Interior This interior is fully
loaded! The leather is in absolutely great condition no real wear at all. All
the electronics and everything on the gauges work perfectly fine. The only
dirty part on this car is the headliner. The headliner needs to be scrubbed
clean and that is it. Other than that the inside of the car is perfect and
fully loaded. Title The title I do have is
the title from when it was a repo. The Co-buyer slot on the title is still open
however and ca still be filled in if you so choose. Or it is viable to buy this
for parts or apply for a brand new title seeing as I have all the paperwork
necessary to do so. |

Volkswagen formally introduces super-efficient XL1
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Lightweight and low drag are hallmarks of great sportscar design. But when paired with a super-efficient, hybrid powertrain, you have the Volkswagen's XL1 that has been formally introduced in Geneva today.
When the 1,700-lb, carbon-fiber-bodied two-seater hits the road, its claimed 261 miles per gallon will make it the world's most-fuel-efficient production car. Though "production car" might be a stretch since VW said in a February press release that the XL1 would be built using "handcrafting-like production methods." We translate that to mean you won't be seeing many of these cars on the road. Though no one at VW has mentioned pricing yet, early rumors suggested a six-figure price tag.
That's supercar budget for a vehicle that has a 47-horsepower, two-cylinder diesel engine and a 27hp electric motor. With numbers like that, owners can expect 0-62 mph times of 12.7 seconds and top speed near 100 mph.
Tanner Foust checks out his new VW Beetle GRC rally car
Thu, 11 Sep 2014Racing driver and Top Gear USA host Tanner Foust is a very busy guy. After all, he's competing in rounds of both Global Rallycross series and FIA World Rallycross Championship, not to mention his TV duties. However, we probably shouldn't feel too sorry for him, because his job puts him behind the wheel of some truly crazy machinery.
Case in point is his latest ride in Global Rallycross - the Volkswagen Beetle GRC. The German company claims that this all-wheel drive Bug makes around 540 horsepower from its 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and can shoot to 60 in under 2 seconds. Plus, if this video is any indication, this Volkswagen sounds like a machine gun when throwing revs at idle, and it can do some wonderfully easy four-wheel drifts.
Previously, Foust was driving a VW Polo for Andretti Autosport in GRC, but the team unveiled the look of the Beetle GRC at the Chicago Auto Show. Now, Foust is finally getting to show off his new office to the public, and like VW's tagline for the new car claims, it's way hotter than Herbie.
Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe is a green fun-machine we want to drive

Those of you that are fans of the Volkswagen brand, impressed with green technology or simply fall into the "diesel geek" category, will almost certainly remember VW's CrossBlue concept with its diesel/electric hybrid powertrain, seating for seven, and somewhat awkward crossover styling. It was an impressive piece of future tech, to be sure, though it left something to be desired in the, well, desirability department.
Here in Shanghai, VW has brought along a CrossBlue Coupe concept that would seem to include most of the goodness of the original, but flavored with more sport and style this time around.
The CrossBlue Coupe makes use of the same electric drive components as the larger three-row concept: two electric motors (front and rear) powered by a 9.8-kWh lithium-ion battery. However, where the original concept made use of a TDI four-cylinder, the Coupe substitutes a 295-horsepower, direct-injection, gasoline-burning V6.
