CARFAX 1OWNER!!! This 2003 Volkswagen Passat GL has over 19 Service records available. It is a 1Owner vehicle and they maintained it on a regular basis since they purchased the car brand new. This car gets 30MPG's and has a 4cylinder 1.8 Turbo engine. The exterior is in excellent condition, I have pointed out a small spot on the front bumper & a small piece of side chrome molding that is missing, Other than that the exterior is in great shape with no dings or dents. All 4 tires have over 90% tread left on them and all of the rims are in good shape. The trunk has a Full size spare tire. The interior is gray cloth and is in good condition, There is a minor circular stain on the back seat which I have pointed out, It looks like a circle of paint. The back carpet has no stains, burns or anything. The front seats are also in great condition with no stains or burns, You can tell this was a Non smoker vehicle. As you can see in the pictures the Glove compartment latch is Non-Functional, I have pointed out where it does not work & the last owner just dealt with it. There is only 94K miles on this passat which is below average & it was all put on by 1 person whom you can tell took very good care of the car both mechanically and appearance wise. The CD Player and radio work perfectly and the speakers all sound great. Mechanically this car is 100% sound and has no problems at all, It runs great, The A/C & Heater works perfectly. Once we purchased this car I changed the oil and made sure all the fluids are perfect. It needed back brakes so I replaced the Front & Back brakes with all new pads & the back got new Rotors & Calipers so the brakes are brand new. I am sure that once you compare this vehicle to others listed you will understand that this is a true deal. Please call me with any questions at 954-226-9022.

Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation

Mon, 17 Nov 2014

Looking at the current automotive landscape, especially from German makers, you quickly get the impression that less definitely isn't more. BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.

VW agrees to halt next-gen rally car development to help others stay in WRC

Sat, 22 Jun 2013

Volkswagen has petitioned the FIA to hold on to the current specifications for cars in the World Rally Championship, according to Autosport.com. The move is evidently an effort to keep as many competitors in the sport as possible, despite the fact that using the current spec racers may actually hurt Volkswagen's chances at winning. The three factory teams currently competing in the WRC are at the end of a three-year homologation cycle at the end of 2013, and new cars are expected to bow next year. But developing new racers could cost as much as $4.7 million.
That price tag would put M-Sport (which fields Ford racers) out of the WRC game for 2014 and would put Citroën participation in question as well. VW has already begun work on the next iteration of its Polo R WRC, and the hatch has nabbed four wins in six rounds this season. Now it appears that car won't bow until at least 2015. The FIA has officially agreed to freeze homologation of new WRC cars until the end of next season.

VW promises 7-seat CUV for America in 2016

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

On the eve of the Detroit Auto Show, Volkswagen chief executive Martin Winterkorn has confirmed the imminent arrival of a new crossover. The model, previewed at the same show last year by the CrossBlue concept pictured here, will be unique to the North American market when it arrives here in 2016. The new three-row, seven-seat crossover is part of an ambitious expansion plan on the part of Volkswagen and Audi in North America, where the two brands aim to sell a million vehicles by 2018.
That's a mighty big increase over the 600,000 vehicles which the Volkswagen Group sold here last year, but it's moving in the right direction: That number is already a 100-percent increase of what it sold here just five years ago. At that rate, VW should have little trouble meeting its goals, particularly with the arrival of the new crossover and the introduction of Golf production at its assembly plant in Puebla, Mexico.
