im selling my 1968 karmann ghia it needs restoration the way you see it is how i bought it with the exception of the following new parts brake master cylinder wheel cylinders and brake hoses and fuel pump. the car needs body work as seen in pics but its a really nice car it runs and drives and shifts through all the gears smooth including reverse ive driven it around the block and not much futher as its not insured the floor pans have fiberglass covering it you sit very firm inside meaning that either partial or complete floor pan replacement may be needed as you prefer but they do the job.the front nose is in very good shape no major dents or any rust through see pics the firewall insulation to engine bay is glued with some ac foam but its solid the previous owner sealed many edges with this foam for heat i assume in my eyes its a cheap and ugly solution. the the engine runs very strong and is a 1500cc and has a new fuel pump and generator charges great it has a 2 barrel carb on it and a dual pack quiet muffler system sounds low and nice the car sits nice and the seats will do the job for me at least the car needs work but is the desirable model and year. im trying to be honest as possible and i could have repainted this car and hide alot of imprefections but i do not want to hide anything. so if you have any questions at all about this car please ask before bidding the car has a clean and clear florida  title and is being sold as is condition with no warranties implied a non refundable $500.00  through paypal is due within 24 hours of auction ending. Remainig balance in 5days after auction ends i reserve the right to end this auction early as i have it for sale locally thank you for looking and happy bidding

Volkswagen Passat gets Wolfsburg Edition, priced from $23,495*

Tue, 23 Apr 2013

Volkswagen has just announced a new Passat Wolfsburg Edition, which slots between the base S and mid-grade SE trims in terms of content and price. The automaker has not released any official photos of the car as of this writing (aside from the badge shot you see here, of course), but the Wolfsburg Passat will be visually set apart from the rest by a unique set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
The big host of upgrades for the Wolfsburg Edition are found inside, where buyers will enjoy standard amenities like leatherette seats (with bun-warmers on the front chairs), a power driver's seat, satellite radio and a media interface with iPod connectivity. Of course, this comes on top of the already standard Passat features like Bluetooth and auto on/off headlamps. The Wolfsburg Passat will only be available with the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Look for the 2013 Wolfsburg Edition Passat to hit dealerships in the very near future, priced from $23,495, *not including $795 for destination. Have a look below for Volkswagen's official press blast.

Andretti Autosport partners with Volkswagen for Global Rallycross season

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

Michael Andretti and Volkswagen have both been involved in Global Rallycross for a couple of years, but not together. Andretti Motorsports Marketing organized the final round of the 2012 GRC series in Las Vegas, and there were rumors then that Andretti was going to get in. Around the same time there were news reports that Volkswagen was preparing a 600-hp Polo Mk5 to race in the SuperCar class; the photo above is racer Anton Marklund in his privateer Marklund Motorsports Polo at the 2013 X-Games round in Los Angeles.
Now it's official: Andretti Autosport will campaign the 2014 GRC season with VWs. That's all that's been said for now, Andretti being busy at the moment launching four entries for IndyCar, two for Indy Lights and two for Pro Mazda. We have a feeling we'll be seeing the MkVII Golf involved, but the cars and the driver lineup will be presented at the Chicago Auto Show on February 6.
