2006 VW Jetta TDI,

5-spd and Dealer Serviced!!

NO RESERVE!!

NO RESERVE!! 2006 Jetta TDI, 5-spd!!  ONE OWNER!! CLEAN CARFAX, Jetta!!

151,665 highway miles, but looks, runs and drives fantastic!! Dark Gray Exterior and Dark Gray Interior!! This 2006 VW Jetta TDI has 1.9 Liter, 4-cylinder turbo charged diesel engine.  BRM engine code/pump duse.  It also has a 5-speed transmission. This car was a diamond in the rough.  I bought it from my neighbor, who was the original owner.

It is a 1-OWNER VEHICLE, with a CLEAN CARFAX!!

I was going to make this my daily driver, but I just got a great deal on a 2010 Golf TDI, so one has to go and it's the Jetta.  This must go to a good home and someone who's a diesel guy like myself!  It has been Fully Serviced! Timing belt and water pump were done at 80k. Good tires and brakes. Fresh oil change, pollen filter and tire rotation. This Vehicle also comes with TWO MASTER KEYS (worth about $200 at the dealers)!!

This vehicle was garage kept its entire life and VERY well taken care of by its original owner. I was very lucky to find it. If you are reading this chances are you know about these TDI engines.  They run for the better part of forever and return great fuel mileage along the way, while still being VERY Fun to drive! Only a few small issues, slight clutch chatter when releasing clutch, which is common on this vehicle & its mileage. Vehicle absolutely shifts fine & clutch feels Great!!  Rear center air vents have a few pieces missing. R/R tire has a small bubble on it. L/R door has small scratch. Please see pictures for details. All small issues, nothing of consequence!! Runs & Drives GREAT!! :)

If you want to arrange a presale inspection before pickup/purchasing vehicle.  I can drop it at the local Volkswagon dealer in Flemington, New Jersey  or any of the three local garages in Lambertville (you would have to pay for the inspection). I hate to see it go but, it doesn't make sense for me to have two TDI's at the same time.

Any questions or if you'd like to see it, please call me as soon as possible and I can definitely help you with any questions or thoughts you might have about the vehicle. This will NOT last long!  We have nothing to hide! BUY WITH CONFIDENCE!!!  Call Rick at 908-894-0897. The TDI is a VERY Desirable Jetta to own, don't let this opportunity pass you by! :)

This Vehicle is for sale @ our local car lot & could be sold before auction ends at any point if someone offers the right money for it. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THIS AUCTION AT ANYTIME. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS EVERYONE AND...HAPPY BIDDING!! :) :)

** Important information! Please read! **

Do not bid unless you have the funds to pay for it immediately available! Your finances must be in place prior to placing a bid! Your bid is not contingent upon me waiting for you to come up with the money or be approved for a loan. Your bid is not contingent upon an inspection. All inspections must be done prior to placing a bid! Full payment is due within three business days of auction close! Thank you!!

Non-paying bidders: Due to a rash of non-paying bidders, the successful bidder that does not follow through with the transaction (a legal contract) will be reported to eBay, and will be forwarded to a collection agent. I am forced to do this to recoup my losses from listing fees and wasted time! Please only bid if you ready, willing and able to buy the car!

About me & my cars:  We are a licensed and bonded auto dealer here in New Jersey. We are a Family-Run Business with over 50 YEARS of Experience Selling Cars and we are new here on eBay. The majority of the cars I offer here were trade in's at new car dealerships or are privately bought.WE ONLY BUY THE VERY BEST CARS...AT THE VERY BEST PRICES!! Rather than taking these vehicles to the dealer auction, I'm selling them here on eBay. This means wholesale prices to you, and I can turn over my inventory quickly. I do not have the service or maintenance history or any other documentation unless otherwise stated. The cars I offer here are not new, they are used! Some maintenance items may need to be addressed, and there may be some wear consistent with the age and mileage of the car. Please read the description and review all photos carefully! If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to contact me!!

Warranty: All of my cars are sold "as-traded", "as-is".

Payment: The successful high bidder must make the non-refundable $199 PayPal deposit within 24 hours of auction close. Full payment is due within 3 days of auction close via certified funds. Cash in person, bank check, certified check, money orders or bank wire transfer are the only acceptable forms of payment.

Taxes & Title: You will be responsible for registration, taxes and title fees when you register the car in your home state. New Jersey residents will be required to pay 7% sales tax on the high bid price. All titles are in my possession, owned outright and are "clean", with no liens or encumbrances. I do not deal with salvaged, flooded, storm damaged or wrecked cars.

Pickup: Vehicle must be picked up within 10 days of auction close. I can issue a 20-day temporary tag (30-day for NJ residents) with a valid US drivers license and proof of insurance. Because I am tight on storage space, a $10/day storage fee will be assessed after 10 days.

Transportation: I am located one hour from either Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), and a half hour from Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN). In most cases, I will be available to pick you up during business hours, as well as the nearest bus stop or train station.

Fees: There is a non-negotiable $199 document fee added to the high bid price of each transaction. This helps cover the costs associated with the temp tag, transportation, title work and operating costs.

Prop-driven VW Beetle hopes to land in Bonneville [w/video]

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

Sometimes you meet folks who, when they tell you "Hey, I have an idea," your reflex response is to stop what you're doing and tell yourself, "Get ready...." We imagine Mike Niemans is one of those folks, and the idea in question is putting a tank engine on a Type 1 Volkswagen Beetle. Not just any old tank engine - as if there were such a thing when we're talking about putting them in cars - but a 668-cubic-inch, 220-horsepower radial engine built by Continental in 1941 and procured from an M2 tank.
In the image above Nieman is using the tank clutch hub to get the motor set up, but in one of the images below you can see what really belongs back there is: a two-inch, reverse-pitch prop taken from a wind generator. He says there's enough mojo with the propeller action to get the car rolling down the runway like a jet when he gives it gas - and speaking of gas, the engine's been refitted to run on propane.
After a few safety tweaks Nieman's going to take the matte-black Beetle to Bonneville, "put the prop on, let her go and see what happens!" We can't wait to see the video of that. There are two shakedown videos below to get you ready.

Volkswagen Group names Paefgen head of classics program

Tue, 04 Oct 2011

You may remember the name Franz-Josef Paefgen. Until recently, the German engineer and executive was head of both Bentley and Bugatti. Before that he was chief executive of Audi, after working for several years at Ford. He technically "retired" earlier this year, but like the cars he helped create, an executive like Paefgen could never really retire. So it should come as little surprise that the Volkswagen Group has named Dr. Paefgen head of its Classic program.
In his new capacity, Paefgen will oversee the historic automobile activities of the entire VW Group, including those of Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, Audi, Lamborghini, and of course Bentley and Bugatti. It strikes us as a suitable semi-retirement for the man responsible in no small part for the Bugatti Veyron and Bentley Mulsanne, to name just two, and who was decorated in 2006 by the ACO as the "Spirit of Le Mans" for his contribution to endurance racing. Read the official announcement after the break.
