You are bidding on a 3/90 1990 VW Cabriolet convertible. Just in time for the summer fun of driving or perfect for son, daughter or wife. The VW is white on white with a recently new installed top, so no rips or tears, that is white as well to blend nicely from previous owner. The car has or showing about 105,270 but true miles are unknown, The timing belt was recently done within the last month. The VW has been upgraded to a Blaupunkt CD player. The VW has the fun and sporty 5 speed with economical 4 cylinder engine, The a/c does work how cold or well is up to one person's perception The interior is very good and nice that is clean with NO rips or tears in the seats, It is missing the back trunk cover and the 2 front fender trim pieces that can easy be gotten at most local junkyards. The exterior is in good shape with various scratches or normal wear and tear of normal driving, has very light rust in the corners of the front windshield that is common and easy fixed. The VW runs and drives well for the year and overall condition, it may need a power steering rack soon, due to mild leakage not substantial but has some. Has new belts along with new power steering pump when timing belt was done. The VW is sold as is with NO warranty buyer is responsibly for pickup or shipping cost. Automakers score 8 out of top 20 most-watched ads on YouTube [w/videos]
Fri, 14 Dec 2012Who would have ever thought there'd be a day where people are able to skip television commercials only to go to websites to watch them later? Such is the joy of a DVR and YouTube. AdWeek tabulated the 20 most-watched ads on YouTube, and found that nine were car-related including eight coming from automakers.
Volkswagen continued its Star Wars theme with two ads in the top 20, including the highest-ranking car commercial The Bark Side spot at number three with almost 18 million views, which doesn't even have a single car in it. Some of our favorites are from Chrysler with Clint Eastwood in It's Halftime in America and House Arrest with Charlie Sheen for the Fiat 500 Abarth. Chevrolet, Honda, Audi and Toyota were the other automakers in the top 20, but we'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention one of the coolest ads on the list, the Hot Wheels corkscrew jump.
Of all the car videos, only the Fiat ad wasn't played during a Super Bowl. Check out all eight videos - in order - after the jump. Nike took the top spot with its My Time is Now ad that has been seen online more than 20 million times with Pepsi's Uncle Drew posted up in the runner-up; some of the other videos include four Old Spice commercials and an ad in which Snoop Dogg is pedaling Hot Pockets.
VW says it has sold over 100,000 TDI diesels in America this year
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Volkswagen Group of America has lit oil-burning fireworks to celebrate the sales of more than 100,000 TDI Clean Diesel vehicles in the US between its VW and Audi brands this year. According to VW, that means it is responsible for more than 75 percent of diesel-engined cars and SUVs sold here - perhaps not surprising when the two brands offer a total of 12 diesel models.
What might be surprising is that the number of diesels isn't far off the estimated sales of 90,000 battery electric vehicles and PHEVs, with 15,000 of those accounted for by the Tesla Model S, another 12,000 or so being the Toyota Prius PHEV.
VW's keen to play up the ease of making diesel part of your life, stressing that it doesn't need any change to the refueling infrastructure and that "this is a technology delivering real answers to society's concerns about fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions without compromises."
