HI, you are bidding on a 1968 VW Custom 18 Window Sunroof bus. I was completely repainted with durable enamel high gloss paint, all windows where removed and reinstated with new rubber and a brand new wind shield (slight tint). There where small patch repairs in the from floor. All the interior panels are new made to look like the older vintage style bus along with the front rear and rear facing seat, also the dash has been stripped and painted to make look like vintage as well. The carpet and head liner are new along with the two front door seals and rear hatch seal. The engine has been rebuilt with a slight cam, has good compression carb rebuild, tune up and runs great. The transmission is in great shape shifts excellent with a brand new clutch and presser plate. The brakes have been gone through with 4 new flex brake lines, good liners and works fantastic. Tires are new along with new hub caps. I'm waiting for some wiper arms in the mail but all and all every thing works on the bus and is in very good condition. North American car buyers get a bit of a slap in the face when it comes to delivery schedules for new the Volkswagen Golf and pumped-up GTI models. We'll just repeat the old chestnut: It's worth the wait... even though it still stinks. This time around, Western Europe is taking deliveries of the new Golf as we speak, and GTI deliveries start between May and July. North America doesn't get the Mk7 Golf or GTI until about July of 2014.
So we approached our first drive of the new GTI with this chip on our shoulder: "You're making us wait? Well, then at least give us the exact car we'll be able to buy. No compromises, mein freund." And so it was that we extracted nearly all of our drive impressions from behind the wheel of what, for the United States, will technically be a model year 2015 two-door Volkswagen Golf GTI Performance with the standard six-speed manual.
Volkswagen e-Co-Motion concept poised for delivery to Geneva
Sat, 02 Mar 2013With Nissan getting ready to launch the e-NV200, it appears Volkswagen is looking to go after the same zero-emission commercial vehicle market with the all-electric 2013 e-Co-Motion Concept. Debuting next week at the Geneva Motor Show, the e-Co-Motion Concept might be small in size, but VW says it has cargo and payload capacities that should be perfect for small businesses.
Measuring 179 inches long, 75 inches wide and 77 inches tall, the e-Co-Motion Concept has about the same footprint as the current Golf, and it has a cargo capacity of 162 cubic feet and a maximum payload of more than 1,700 pounds. There isn't too much information on the e-Co-Motion just yet - such as what electric components and platform are used - but the press release posted below states while the concept is shown as a cargo van, future body styles could include a passenger wagon or a refrigerated box van.
