up for sale is our nice fun 2003 Volkswagen new beetle. trust me my wife is not happy but we are moving and must get rid of a lot of things, so we gotta do what we gotta do! this bug was used by my wife for the last 6-7 years for her to go to work. we are the second owners and its time for someone else to have fun with it. we are downsizing and are just gonna share a vehicle for now. I will have a lot of other items listed such as a new Holland  ls 160 skid loader, scag turf runner  mower, cub cadet mower, box blade, 3pt hitch, 32 foot Yellowstone camino camper  gmc 32 ft buckrt truck van, john deere 4310 tractor loader backhoe, 2007 gmc 16ft box truck , 20 foot 10000 lbs trailer and more so keep an eye open for it.

now onto the bug, it is a 2003 gls  1.8l turbo with tiptronic automatic transmission, heated seats, a/c, 6 disc cd player with premium sound. powersteering, tilt wheel, abs brakes, premium wheels, rear lighted spoiler, leather seats, dual airbags, power windows and locks, cruise control, front wheel drive. convertible top lowers into the rear of the car. we also have the great water/mud floormats which make it nice for keeping the dirt out . keyless entry remote, security alarm, fog lights, all the owners manuals. no accidents, no worries, the car was babied by my wife . there are a few chips of paint and a little dent running along the bottom of the running board but overall not bad for a 2003 vehicle.

any questions please text or call me at 717-341-3625. we do have the car for sale locally so we reserve the right to end it early if we get a decent offer. we may be able to deliver it, just let me know where and we can work something out. thanks for looking.

Volkswagen Group names Paefgen head of classics program

Tue, 04 Oct 2011

You may remember the name Franz-Josef Paefgen. Until recently, the German engineer and executive was head of both Bentley and Bugatti. Before that he was chief executive of Audi, after working for several years at Ford. He technically "retired" earlier this year, but like the cars he helped create, an executive like Paefgen could never really retire. So it should come as little surprise that the Volkswagen Group has named Dr. Paefgen head of its Classic program.
In his new capacity, Paefgen will oversee the historic automobile activities of the entire VW Group, including those of Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, Audi, Lamborghini, and of course Bentley and Bugatti. It strikes us as a suitable semi-retirement for the man responsible in no small part for the Bugatti Veyron and Bentley Mulsanne, to name just two, and who was decorated in 2006 by the ACO as the "Spirit of Le Mans" for his contribution to endurance racing. Read the official announcement after the break.

VW readying CC Shooting Brake?

Mon, 11 Feb 2013

This was bound to happen. Volkswagen's relentless drive for big volume has the brand mining seemingly every niche it can find for additional sales worldwide. And with its CLS Shooting Brake, fellow countryman Mercedes-Benz has already shown that a wagon based off of a "four-door coupe" can look dead sexy and command extra dollars. So it follows that the Volkswagen CC (whose existence is all but directly attributable to the success of the original CLS sedan) will also get a load-lugging variant. That's according to the UK's Autocar, which notes that the five-door will come in the CC's next generation.
According to the report, the next CC will be available in front and all-wheel drive variants with the usual assortment of gas and diesel four-cylinders found in the Wolfsburg empire, with the possibility of a gas plug-in hybrid model, too. The rakish estate will ride atop VW's MQB architecture, a shorter variant of which is also found underneath the new Golf. The scalable chassis is set to spread like kudzu throughout the company's lineup, but the CC probably won't happen until after the launch of the next European-market Passat in 2015.
Will we get it in North America? Hard to say. Volkswagen sells the standard CC saloon here, but not in particularly large numbers, and when the company moved to a North American-specific Passat, it dumped the wagon variant. The traditional VW estate apparently continues to pick up sales momentum abroad, however, making the CC Shooting Brake a seemingly natural fit for buyers who still want the utility of a two-box form but can afford to sacrifice a bit of cargo room in the name of style.

Honda wins Commercial of the Decade, but not for the ad you think [w/VIDEO]

Honda's Commercial of the Decade: "Grrr" - Click above to watch video
The mad men at Adweek recently voted for the Commercial of the Decade (Super Bowl commercials not included) and Honda took top honors over memorable ads from the last ten years by companies like Nike, Budweiser and Sony. That's not a big surprise considering Honda often puts a huge amount of effort into its on-air spots. However, the Japanese automaker didn't win for the commercial you might have expected: "Cog." Though Honda's famous commercial that breaks down a European Accord Tourer into a Rube Goldberg-esque machine was also a finalist, it was beaten by another Honda commercial called "Grrr" that's narrated by Garrison Keillor of all people. You've probably never seen it, but you can after the jump.
Volkswagen also made the list of finalists, but the particular ad chosen out of all the comical VW ads we've seen was unexpected as well. Most surprising carmaker with a commercial in the finals: Saturn. Who knew...
