This is sold AS IS but in running, driving condition. ABSOLUTELY NO GUARENTEES but I would trust it. If you are far away, I would recommend having a trailer but that's up to you. I have driven it 100 miles recently and Ive never broke down with it.
I have a nice little bug for sale.. I just bought another truck and need to make some room for it. This is my 4th vehicle and although Id love to keep it, its just not practical. Its a fun little TOY. Ive just installed all new brake shoes, brake hardware kits and wheel cylinders. The tires are in good condition. The motor is a 1600cc. It has its typical oil leaks like any other old aircooled vw motor, but are all ez and cheap fixes. You can have the motor pulled out of this thing in 20 minutes. The body on the car is pretty solid. It does have a rust hole under the gas pedal but not big. The rest of the floor is solid as well. It has an expensive pioneer cd player in it. The ignition is worn as they all do. It has a separate starter button that's located behind the seat. Headliner and door panels are pretty nice. the seats do have some rips but not visible. It also has the typical gassy smell that they all have. If your looking for a PERFECT condition car, then this isn't for you. If you want a fun little toy that is in good shape for the year then here ya go. It will come with a few extra parts and also a car cover. I have close to $4000 in this and am not going to give it away so don't bother lowballing me. Ill just store it for the winter if need be rather than sell it for a ridiculous low price. Let me know if you want to see it. As far as any issues, I would trust it about anywhere. It has a few clunks in the front end but I have the parts to fix them. Just haven't had the time yet. Ive had this up to 80 mph. Although I wouldn't recommend it, It will do it. It drives very nice at 65mph. It is a 4spd manual.
UNDER 60,000 miles but still drive it every day so will go up. I have no way to know if the mileage is correct or if its turned over but my guess is that its accurate.

Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.
2014 Volkswagen Beetle GSR is black and yellow, black and yellow
Thu, 07 Feb 2013Way back in 1973, Volkswagen decided it was high time to take the loveable air-cooled Bug racing. No, it wasn't painted in Herbie colors - Volkswagen called its sport-tuned machine the Beetle GSR, "Gelb Schwarzer Renner" or "Yellow Black Racer." Hence, the somewhat shocking paint scheme.
VW is bringing its sporty black and yellow Beetle back for 2014, and you can see live photos of it above. It's got a 210-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood (that'd be the hood up front, unlike the car's forebear), and a six-speed manual or DSG automatic transmission sends those ponies to the front wheels. Note that this car's output is up 10 horses on other turbo VWs, and the Jetta GLI and Beetle Turbo for 2013. The 0-60 run takes 6.6 seconds, and top speed is limited to 130 miles per hour.
Besides the in-your-face black and yellow paint, the GSR is outfitted with a large rear spoiler and 19-inch wheels shod with 235/40 tires. The bee-like hue carries over inside, with yellow stitching on black leather. Only 3,500 will be produced, each with its own unique plaque. Pricing has not yet been announced, but you're free to read through the press release below all the same.
VW outsells GM in China for first time in 8 years
Fri, 26 Oct 2012In case you didn't know, Volkswagen is hell-bent on becoming the largest automaker in the world. The German carmaker has inched closer to that goal, having outsold General Motors in China last quarter for the first time in eight years.
Volkswagen's sales in China, its largest marker, increased by 21 percent last quarter to 704,991 units. Those numbers almost tripled GM's third-quarter growth, and were enough to beat out the American automaker's 664,765 sales. GM, however, still leads in year-to-date sales in China by a slim margin of around 77,000 units. The Asian nation also happens to be GM's largest market, and according to the report in Automotive News, China's car market may grow to be larger than the US, Japan and Germany combined in three years' time.
About the news his company was bested in China by VW last quarter, GM CEO Dan Akerson is quoted saying, "It's not whether you're the biggest car manufacturer. It's whether you want to be the most profitable." It should be noted of these figures that GM includes truck figures, yet excludes Hong Kong and Macau from its Chinese sales numbers, while VW does just the opposite. Through September of this year, Volkswagen had 5 of the 10 best selling vehicles in China. GM boasted three of the cars on that list.
